Yes Bounty it was firstly in response to comments that we could use an non-American company as an insurer.

The substance is I didn't push the story, I was responding helpfully to someone elses comments.

Our using any other currency is a matter of pure conjecture though. Last time under sanctions the IOC share was paid into an escrow account, and we'd expect the same to happen again.

You do have to reach the conclusion that somebody seems to be Googling oil companies pulling out of Iran.Now, factual or not, why would somebody want to do that..And moreover, why would they turn up here to tell us all about it?

Still holding and waiting, keeping some powder dry just in case things get silly but I hope it doesn't. I did wonder if the share price would end the day blue but someone looks to have thrown a spanner in the works lol.

Its up on reports that if there will be any rise in OPEC production, that it will be gradual.

You're right on one thing as I have got more important things to do. No need to get so touchy, a simple 'I prefer not to say' response to my original question rather than becoming patronising would have been polite and saved all this wasted time.

Bounty, Jeeze , You see me as trying to get in lower! How you see me !lol. I suggest you forget about me! I don't matter. My shares don't matter. Im really immaterial to sqz.

It's wasted energy, won't make you money. It would be nice if you just engaged with points Im making, however stupid, anything else I always try to ignore.

But I'll say it again, I think the deal will go through. And I'll add, if the deal is altered, it will be to offset the Iran problem and that should if anything be to Serica's advantage.

Personally,I have the greatest of faith in TCW and the rest of the Serica board and whilst this sanctions situation is not ideal at this time, I cannot believe that the board would be blythely 'going through the motions' of working towards completion, if they didn't think they deal would complete. I also don't believe that they would be toying with the livelyhoods of all those BP employees who are set to transfer to Serica, along with those new employees who have already been offered jobs. So I've not sold a share.

Absolutely, you are not going to Iran for your hols but may still have an Iranian colleague in the UK with absolutely no problem at all.

Serica doesn't have plans to invest in Iran. I don't think that most with common sense would consider the shared ownership of a UKCS gas field that's been producing for years the same as slipping a few mill to Ali Khamenei for some favours, business-wise downtown Tehran.

I have decided NOT to go to Tehran for my hols.. due to US sanctions.

Nothing at all, just asked what your interest was in Serica given your negativity (not 'where you live', 'how many shares you hold' bla bla bla as you exaggerated), that's all, you are the one with the problem in over-reacting to my question and not giving anywhere near a straight answer preferring rebukes such as 'what's the matter with you?'! Plenty have said whether they are in or out or waiting to buy in lower (which is how I see you) without wobbling all over the place such as DH, FB and myself for starters. Given that you're out of touch with earlier postings which I think it's quite clear to all what your sudden 'interest' is in Serica at the moment.

It's only traders who announce when they buy and sell. Im not a trader and I don't short. Hmm,wonder why Im posting here.


What you want to to do is undermine me by claiming i don't hold. But what Ive said is verifiable. How many shares people own here isn't verifiable. Lukoil HAVE decided not to go ahead with plans to develop projects in Iran. Saying so is hardly being negative, it's factual and it's barely relevant to Serica.
