16/9/2019 09:31 | It seems to me, it is the traders who are selling as they have made their quick 'Buck' as it were while the investors continue to hold. | loganair

16/9/2019 08:08 | Hi Sherry,I understand the "cost saving" potential but I think we are all more interested in retaining the mass flow through the plant downstream of the OS, BUT, in this instance, at a ~20% increased input grade (measured downstream of the Ore Sorter). This would require ~30% more ore from the mine - is the Palito mine ready to deliver? (And that the mine remains just as focussed on output grade as today).I understand that SC ore will need colour sorting as opposed to x-ray. If I understand correctly Comex will site commission the Palito/x-ray capability in Q4 but that SRB/SBI will work on the SC/Colour capability some while later. I get the sense success with sorting SC ore should not be a foregone conclusion? So putting in SC mill capacity and saving on transport is a long way down the line - I think PPVN also said SC is still on modest volumes within a trial mining licence?IIRC the cost of the OS was about $950k, after import taxes.Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
16/9/2019 07:09 | Gold up very strongly. Expecting a good week here, 100p push? I really expect one of these days gold will just get on a run and it will be 1600 in the blink of an eye. | littlepuppi7
16/9/2019 06:59 | May be off here but was it not around 800k? | littlepuppi7
16/9/2019 01:00 | tightfist - I had posted a link on a ore sorter mfg'er a couple of months back. I noticed on the Comex Web page the statement "the cost savings are often possible to achieve by reduced energy consumption in the processing plant, reduced transport needs between the mine and the plant and reduced waste disposals from the plant. The product quality increase and increased recovery can be of critical importance for many mining operations." In my post from a couple of months ago, I was wondering about SBI installing a partial mill operation at Sao Chico to reduce transportation costs to the main plant and reduced tailings at the plant. Also, this would increase the head grade at the plant. Do you know how much the ore sorter costs? | sherry35
15/9/2019 21:23 | Mike mentioned that Comex are the supplier of the ore sorter: Here is a useful link to look further, a pilot plant is mentioned:hXXps://ww | tightfist
15/9/2019 20:55 | Hi Bomber,Mike made a really good presentation last week (see link in post #4032) that covers all the bases and shorter-term plans (in just 21 minutes). I was also struck by his coverage of the exciting exploration prospects and the attention/visits being played by bigger fish!IMO exciting times ahead. Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
15/9/2019 17:43 | Divmad.. as you say decent starter position... I have around four times that exposure and I intend on adding Monday. Still cannot see a better play on lse. | littlepuppi7
15/9/2019 17:42 | Yep they have seen dramatic success. Gold should be flying as well Based on fundamentals but has been messed with like mad this last week. I suspect it will fly Monday. | littlepuppi7
15/9/2019 17:00 | Thanks for all your thoughts, guys. I have a starter position here from 70p (40k) but need a push to get more involved. | divmad
15/9/2019 13:33 | If the fires have been that bad it could take months to bring the equipment back on line so oil and gold stocks are the time to buy | mick1909
15/9/2019 13:22 | Saudi Arabia are hoping to IPO Saudi Aramco next year to help pay for their massive government spending programme which is to keep the local population happy and thereby quiet. After there two drone attacks, who is going to invest in Aramco's IPO at the high valuation that the Saudi government are expecting, want and need? | loganair
15/9/2019 13:11 | It's another nail in the coffin for the stock bull run. Everyone will be running to increase their gold positions. Gold producers are a much better investment than gold. | borisjohnsonshair

15/9/2019 13:03 | This is a massive amount of production, 7% of daily world oil production to suddenly take off line. This shoes how vulnerable other oil facilities in the region, how easily they could be attacked and taken off line. | loganair
15/9/2019 12:52 | Thanks. Good post. | borisjohnsonshair
15/9/2019 12:51 | Temporary shut down only. That's not the issue - more likely rockets from Iran. Likely to escalate and easy for Iran to shut down Saudi & UAE exports. | borisjohnsonshair |
