Carry out this search, and view the Garraway fact sheet, Serabi singled out for its great performance.. From the numbers I see on it though they dont hold loads..

Hi 1Kiwi,My potential trading rationale is within post #3309 - comments welcome! .Thanks for the other holding info - maybe there is slightly more free-float as Anker and Garraway have sold more, slightly offset by the R&M increase. I don't think we will see any more RNS's to say they are finally out?.Reassuring to see my nominee JIM in there (wish they were all mine!); intrigued to see Sanford in there at all, maybe they have more aggressive plays than their familiar and out-performing Buffettology fund. No mention of Ruffer Gold - surprising and disappointing. .I don't comprehend the mind-set of a gated fund manager. He/she has already lost their clients (sorry to hear about your involvement desha) a lot of money and now he/she collects more yet fees while liquidating - is the imminent PEA of any interest/risk? Or is it a simple a dash-for-cash regardless?.Cheers, tightfist

Surely not. What's the make up of institutions. 9M is less than 20%

It seems to me that there are only about 9m shares in free float as the rest are being tightly held by the major share holders.

Agree ppvn. We have not moved at all since the gold surge started .. down today but still over 1500 and like you and others rightly say, totally unaccounted for in the results.

Paying over the Ask for small amounts, maybe this seller has finally cleared. Not many sells today in comparison to previous days. There could have been a transfer to another II

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and additional colour. Commiserations to desha of course.

One of the reasons I bought even more shares (oh the concentration risk...!) the other day is that we first dropped from 50p when Anker and Garraway were selling. Then we came back up, but then another as yet unidentified (but hopefully likely Garraway) fund began to sell again. I don't think the upside in gold has been fully priced here by any means and really think we are still very much undervalued.

But again, that's my biased and self interested view! Hopefully we'll find out via an RNS soon.

tightfist,

59 million shares in issue, Percentage of securities not held in public hands: 60.21%

Fratelli Investments Limited 32.8%
Greenstone Resource II LP 25.3%
River & Mercantile Asset Management LLP 10.5%
Garraway Capital Management LLP 4.8%
Drake PIPE Fund 3.9%
Anker Holding AG 2.9%
Eldorado Gold Corporation 2.9%
Directors (excluding Fratelli) 2.1%
BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Ltd. 0.97%
Jarvis Investment Management Ltd. 0.73%
Hargreaves Lansdown Stockbrokers Ltd. 0.43%
Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management Ltd. 0.24%
Smith & Williamson Investment Management LLP 0.23%
HSBC Global Asset Management (UK) Ltd. 0.20%
Webb Capital Asset Management Ltd. 0.19%
Sanford DeLand Asset Management Ltd. 0.19%
Peel Hunt LLP 0.083%

How do you get your figure of 7 million, more than 10% of shares in issue? I think that figure is way out considering the amount not available to the public and the amount of volume since the selling commenced

I have the misfortune to be significantly invested in the Garraway fund. The information from Garraway is virtually non-existent - I think you are probably right in that they have sold out SRB now or at least nearly sold out. If not, then expect a further drop in SRB as the fund is a forced sellers ....

Just checked, ~7.9m total trades since volume picked up at end July so MAYBE Garraway are almost finished, IF it's them.

Hi PPVN,Thanks for the search tip; my searching included that site but not that hit!The link states ".... The fund was suspended for a second time this year on 25 July after which point it will be liquidated....." which is good enough for me..Regarding liquidation trading, I suppose we are close to 50/50 Buys/Sells and assuming Garraway are 70%? of sell volume (and zero off-market transfers) then we would need around cumulative volume of around 7 million to finally clear their overhang?.Regarding other ii's picking up the slack, maybe the outstanding PEA is suppressing their gambling/trading instincts!? On the other hand maybe they see merit in increasing the shares in PI hands..Cheers, tightfist

I can't say for sure but the pieces seem to fit to me - but again it's up to you to make of it what you will!

I can't imagine there are too many PIs with 6 figure+ holdings (and it hasn't been me selling) which was why I checked the larger size trades going back to 25th July - the first was on 31st July so again that seems to me to fit. There have been just over 2.4mm printed to date which to my presumptuous mind means there is around 400k yet to appear - so i believe they should be nearly done IF it is them.
