is this not sitting closer to 200p purely because the market doesn't think this will go through? or because they want more?

What is an acceptable offer? given the current climate.

Appears they have not made a firm offer as yet, the board so far it appears are yet to give it their firm backing. Could go hostile without board agreement but then LSF would have had to sound out the II's to see what is an acceptable offer to them.

At what point do shareholders decide?
Or can a board keep rejecting offers?

Normally they say no very quickly so they must be considering it

The Board has to accept this imo -- unless it can find a white knight before Friday

FINAL PROPOSAL!

'The financial terms of the Fifth Proposal are final and will not be increased, except that Lone Star reserves the right to increase the amount of the offer price if there is an announcement on or after the date of this announcement of an offer or a possible offer for Senior by a third party offeror or potential offeror.'

......

SNR was closer to 100p when the board were rebuffing the first of the 3 offers as insiders climbed aboard the rise from 100-130p before the confirmation rns.

Nigh on a 100% increase.

I can see the board coming under pressure to accept this proposal

£2 is good with all the uncertainty around.

There is the offer with a 2 in it.
Market thinks it will be turned down?

Lone Star still 'considering its position'. I assume that they are in discussions with the board, trying to agree on a price.

A bid may come to nothing and the price falls back further, only speculators need to worry about that.

This is a 2-3 year sector recovery play.

It's crazy seeing people sell at this price when Friday they turned down an offer for a lot lot higher. Yet they all pile into a spike at UKOG. Hey ho more fool them. This will turn soon.

Added a few.

Will Melrose be tempted is what I would be asking?.

Unfortunately amateurs will have piled in with margined longs
late on Friday, some of those taken a bath today.

On the basis it's accepted the aeronautical industry will return to something like normal after, say, 2-3 years, my feeling is that any offer to purchase this company should not be accepted unless it's at or close to £3.00. Senior has built up expertise, (presumably) intellectual property, goodwill, clients and distribution networks over the years. The value of that is enormous. So why give it all up on the cheap?

I'm quite content to wait out the 2-3 years.
