Yes but all charts turn at some point if the underlying business is sound buy well. Tend to think this will turn. Taken an opening position. Now it's one for the patient, pity the yield isn't a bit better.

Essentialinvestor Yes your average Joe Blogs won't touch the stock Market and prefer buy to let. You have bears like Max Keiser telling us to buy gold whereas Warren Buffett tells us to buy stocks for long term.I'm just scalping stocks atm, smash and grab, not worth holding anything before a imminent trading statement.

You can see why some stick to BTL rather than the stock market.

Have put this back on a watch list, been a few years since I last held SNR.

Whilst disappointing the issues with Aerospace appear short term and not insurmountable. SNR are well embedded in a growth cycle. Clearly some of the issues have been known to some investors as the the sell off appears to have happened well before this announcement at least from the end of Sept, hence todays share price drop seems way overdone.

A0148009 - thanks for that. Interesting that they are adding Aero capability to a Flex plant in Czech - suggests the sale of Flexonics is not being considered.

"On the Aerospace side, Senior’s global footprint continues to provide opportunities for growth, as a result of the Group’s investment in our Aerospace facilities in Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, California and South
Carolina. Plans are being developed to add aerospace capability to our existing highly efficient Flexonics plant in the Czech Republic. The new 200,000 sq.ft
facility in Thailand was officially opened on 23 June
2016 with key customers in attendance and we are encouraged by the opportunities for organic growth that this facility brings".

re Thailand - extract from Interim Statement mentions aerospace but not specific.

Hi, I'm on here too after recent purchase.
It looks like good medium / long term prospects for the Aero biz with qualification on lots of programmes which ramp up in next few years.
I know some doubts about sales to Airbus because of Brexit, but I think they will stay with Senior because it is tedious qualifying new suppliers and Sterling is down.
Flexonics is a worry but they have provided for cost-cutting etc, and US Fed seems happy to continue with low interest for now.....
Meanwhile 2nd half sales should continue to benefit from weak Sterling.
All IMHO. Good luck all.

Spudders, scrolling back I see on 02.03.15 you were asking the same question "where is everyone". Snr is a niche business with great skills but struggled with Flexonics and the weakness of the miners but seems to have turned the corner now.
It is the quality company that could be snapped up whilst the pound is cheap and is quite reasonably priced at the moment.

Encouraging statement, dollar earner, increase of 6% interim dividend and potential new business demonstrates confidence in H2.

"Senior's Aerospace Division has performed in line with expectations in the first half of 2016. Revenue and adjusted profits have increased and a book to bill ratio of 1.15 is encouraging. Conversely, as previously announced, business conditions deteriorated in the Flexonics Division and resulted in a weak first half as end markets remained challenging with no clear signs of recovery yet visible.

Overall the Group remains well positioned for the future with Aerospace production programmes continuing to ramp-up and many new business opportunities in discussion with key customers. In Flexonics, despite the challenging conditions, we have continued to secure positions on new programmes and platforms, and therefore are well positioned to resume growth when markets recover. As previously announced, the Board expects the Group's performance in the second half of 2016 to be stronger than the first half and is confident of progress in 2017 and beyond."

Very pleased that sold out at 226.Think will see how this goes over the next few days. Done well buying sub 210 and selling 220+ a few times. Don't want to lose those profits. Second half of year seems more positive, so could be all about timing.
