What it may indicate is the growth outlook for those businesses (and therefore
of Senior in its current form) may be less robust than current consensus indicates.
Now you can make a case that's already priced in.

As I understand its not aerospace division for sale but aerostructures (ie Weston).

The potential upside would be a bidder emerging for the entire company.
Otherwise, it's grim.

This not good news.

That business was supposedly going to drive long term growth
with the booming aerospace market.

Mentioned a couple of months ago that I would question the quality of this division
with no growth forecast for 2020, while the wider aerospace market was still growing strongly.

It's dose of reality to the bull case for Senior imv.

Market likes the idea of selling the Aerostructures business.

Reading between the lines they've let costs get out of hand imv.

MRO and BOY's aerospace divisions are producing record results.

You might ask the question...what happens to SNR when the aerospace markets slows? if they are already saying no growth in 2020 when the broader aerospace sector
is still booming.

No BOD buying at these levels atm.

Jefferies states buy £2.55 in a note issued today

I don't rate broker notes that much though, merely a signpost for me.

Just reading the statement again and they say aerospace will now see
a revenue decline in 2020. Even allowing for the Max situation the
overall aerospace market is still growing apace. They reference not rebidding
on certain contracts because of return hurdles. May point to
some weakness in their aerospace offering.

Airbus have something like a 4/5 year backlog atm.

Challenge to look at this in positive terms, whether all in the price ..?

We knew this was in the post, and so did the market, those quick enough to buy at 165p today would have been in and out in a flash.

They expanded capacity with that big CAPEX spend just at the wrong time.
To be fair they MAX situ was unforseen.

BOY flying by comparison - pun intended.

Let's see if any of the BOD step in and buy.

May be worth noting that SNR did not really participate in the recent bounce
by some engineering groups, the likes of MRO, VSVS well off lows.
Bodycote also up around 10% from the low point - BOY is better seen as
a service company though.

Bought into these today, along with SYNT (since it's in the convo) I also bought Cine and MCRO. Good luck to SNR and all those who sail in her. Senior has got good broker sentiment and I feel the share price will recover once the boeing max thingy is well in the rear mirror, PE is good as is cashflow. Revenue has risen steadily year on year. It's a steady stable company worth holding for an exit price I'd put in a stop loss at 240 once it's back above that price.
