Think that SEE should change their name to JTM (Jam tomorrow maybe)! Am reasonably fed up of reading meaningless RNS releases (the latest surely only released to pander to shareholder demands on various chat boards for some news) which actually say nothing whatsoever of any consequence, and certainly nowhere near enough to make an RNS a stock exchange announcement a necessity.

gnnmartin - In a driverless car, there may not be anyone in the drivers seat. In the event a passenger falls ill, the car may need to take action, stop, go to hospital maybe.

Anybody noticed the discount rate used by Cenkos? [I know they haven't updated the share price valuation on the new stuff]

6 month high. Needs to break through 5.5 and then open skies (well... to 13p.). This does appear over looked in a tech bull market.

I hold.

Some snippets posted on LSE, Cenkos maintain 7.2p target but recognise the groundbreaking announcement today, expected but early.I can understand all brokers not moving the dial on their share price targets until the recent announcements translate into announced contracts with financial information. The roadmap is in place, now we need the contracts to drive the much overdue share price re-rate.

I can't see why anybody wants the passenger monitored, and I can see why people might not, so I don't understand why SEE have gone down this route.

Lead paragraph :-

"Seeing Machines has announced that it is formally expanding its leading automotive driver monitoring system (DMS) into an overall vehicle interior/occupant monitoring system (OMS). The expanded offering will be available for automotive production programmes starting as early as 2023. Seeing Machines estimates that its entry into OMS opens an incremental market opportunity, worth up to a total of A$1.5bn through to 2030, with an estimated incremental revenue opportunity for the company exceeding...".

Seeing Machines Limited (AIM: SEE, "Seeing Machines" or the "Company"), the advanced computer vision technology company that designs AI-powered operator monitoring systems to improve transport safety, has announced it is formally expanding its leading automotive driver monitoring system (DMS) into an overall vehicle interior/occupant monitoring system (OMS). The expanded offering will be available for automotive production programs starting as early as 2023.

Seeing Machines estimates that its entry into OMS opens an incremental market opportunity, worth up to a total of A$1.5 billion through to 2030, with an estimated incremental revenue opportunity for the Company exceeding A$350 million.

This expansion is consistent with Seeing Machines's "safety first" focus and leverages important breakthroughs in achieving uncompromised head, eye, and face tracking for driver monitoring with a wide field of view camera system. It will extend the Company's highly effective attention, distraction, impairment, identification, and other human state measures from the vehicle driver to vehicle passenger(s) concurrently.

The introduction of a wide field of view OMS will continue to support even the most challenging Euro NCAP DMS and semi-automated driving requirements which are traditionally achieved today with a narrow view (driver exclusive) camera system, while at the same time extending safety, comfort, and convenience features to passengers. OMS capabilities range from enabling more reliable and cost-effective passive safety systems to fully AI enabled interiors able to anticipate and care for the needs of both the driver and passenger(s).

Further, the approach, enabled by Seeing Machines's Occula(R) Neural Processing Unit (NPU) technology, allows a DMS to be expanded into a wide field of view interior camera system offering an array of additional high value interior and occupant sensing features with little increase in camera, illumination, or embedded processing cost. This can be achieved with readily available and proven automotive image sensors and other components, greatly enhancing the value of the Company's existing product offering.

Nick DiFiore, SVP and GM Automotive commented: "I'm proud of the methodical approach our researchers have taken toward the interior and occupant monitoring problem, avoiding the 'feature wars' in favour of system safety through continued uncompromised Driver Monitoring availability and performance while maintaining a low embedded processing cost enabled by our Occula(TM) NPU technology; a combination that eludes more academic oriented - brute force - deep learned network approaches.

"We expect our automotive Tier 1 and OEM customers to be excited by the reality of a non-compromised DMS ready for any Euro NCAP eventuality, with the promise of extending safety and convenience features to vehicle passengers without inflating the overall system cost. This is a very important step in our company vision, to truly enable automobiles to see, understand, secure, and assist its occupants."

Exactly. If SEE aren’t winning these contracts, then who is ? Especially now that SEYE are up for sale. Let’s hope that we have a flurry of RNS over the coming days...

I think it has to show which direction it’s going within 6 months maytrees... it’s not as if the auto DMS sector is hanging around - it has regulation to keep up with. If SEE aren’t winning these contracts then who is...?

They Will need DMS in eVery vehicle within 5 years and unless other companies have the IP then they will need to license in, or buy the companies that can supply it.

I think we’re 1, maybe 2, announcements away from a re-rate tbh.

Greetings RJCDC
Hopefully you are correct though in the short term with eg Easyjet proposing to cut flights, scope may be more limited for a while.
Topping up from time to time when the share price allows is apt for me but dyor.

Just waiting for this to start bubbling again...

It’s either the market leader in the hottest sector, or it’s not.

$200m of future booked business, excluding any increase in fleet (which is supposed to double every year), aviation, new auto deals, extra models, mining and anything to do with phones/pcs etc....

Possibly the most important 6 months in SEEs history coming up.

7p by Xmas...

I see a pause with a gentle pullback.

There’s 3 weeks until finals so I expect buying to pick up the closer we get.

They need to have plan Bs ready to keep momentum going.
