A coiled spring is a good description.

At some point this company will move from speculative value to anticipated value. When those contracts come in - if any contracts are won for extra value than already stated. If the value of the contracts is increased as either more models have our product installed (the EU law changes almost guarantees this) or new company wins are announced then the speculative value of the company will change to anticipated value based on takeover value. Therefore the share price will rise prior to revenue streams due to this companies sales profile will be wholly different to most companies valuation.

Normally a company is valued on the profit it makes from production and it is not until that profit can be shown after the product has been sold that the share price will rise to reflect the profits made. This companies value will rise on the value of those contracts and if SEE have indeed won high value clients that will install our technology into most of their models the current modest stated revenue will rise dramatically.

At the moment current contract wins almost guarantee no future finance will be needed so our share price is where it is. One more propels the company into profit.

2022 production is 2 years off but car companies are already planning 2022 design lay-outs to ensure supply requirements can be tied up and extensive testing will be carried out prior to future cars being revealed. GM have hailed Supercruise a complete success so I expect them to feature our offering in 2020 on many more of their range of cars. The other big manufacturers will want to compete so I expect more to announce their plans to combat supercruise, so I expect 2020 to be our year.

Takeover value will propel the share price upwards. We already know Bosch are interested and there are Nine Tier 1's already focussed on our offering. Which out of those Tier 1's would not want to be the sole operator to get an exclusive inside line into so many prestige cars? Then there are operators not currently engaged with SEE.

2020 will see this company taken out and each of SEE's greedy BoD with their free shares will benefit enormously, so it will happen. It is good that so many long suffering PI's holding a good percentage of the company will also benefit.

One of the regulars over on LSE is trying to get an idea of PI total holding,i have pasted his post below. Interesting

Based on the pole the other day, I think we had 50+ readers/posters on here. I have created an anonymous questionnaire to gauge the collective value of our shareholding. It would be interesting to know. I'll post an update with the total figures once we get some data. Feel free to post your holding.

Following Fridays announcement & our RNS earlier today I would have thought that contracts directly with manufacturers of lorries,trucks,buses & coaches should follow & there may be scope to licence our technology to individual truck managers for an upfront fee, reasonable royalty & we provide our ongoing monitoring services based on every installation, resulting in our substantial increase in our recurring SAAS revenue .If all new commercial vehicles need DMS by mid 2022 I dont see how else this could be achieved ?

European Council Adopts Regulation to Enhance Safety

Seeing Machines Limited (AIM: SEE, "Seeing Machines" or the "Company"), the advanced computer vision technology company that designs AI-powered operator monitoring systems to improve transport safety, is pleased to note that, following an agreement with the European Parliament in March, the European Council announced on Friday 8 November that it has adopted a regulation on the general safety of motor vehicles and the protection of vehicle occupants and vulnerable road users (the "Regulation").

The Regulation is part of the "Europe on the Move" package, launched by the European Commission in May 2018, which aims to ensure a smooth transition towards a mobility system which is safe, clean and automated. Of particular relevance to Seeing Machines and its industry-leading driver monitoring systems is the requirement under the Regulation for the adoption of safety features that include advanced driver distraction warning systems and driver drowsiness and attention warning systems.

Paul McGlone, CEO of Seeing Machines commented: "Europe continues to lead action on safer roads. As advanced safety technology becomes more available, we are delighted to see that Europe intends to apply these innovations to truly drive safety. While initially implemented in Europe, given the markets served by European carmakers and heavy vehicle manufacturers, these developments will no doubt be implemented globally in time.

"Seeing Machines is extremely well placed to support these ongoing regulations, especially as they will apply, from 2022, to all cars, vans, trucks and buses. Guardian, our commercial vehicle technology, is already installed in more than 16,000 heavy vehicles, and Seeing Machines has ongoing engagements to deploy driver monitoring technology across nine automotive programs globally, placing us in the perfect position to continue to assist our customers to meet these requirements which will enhance safety on roads."

Article 11 Specific requirements relating to automated vehicles and fully automated vehicles

1. In addition to the other requirements of this Regulation and of the delegated acts and implementing acts adopted pursuant to it that are applicable to vehicles of the respective categories, automated vehicles and fully automated vehicles shall comply with the technical specifications set out in the implementing acts referred to in paragraph 2 that relate to:

(a) systems to replace the driver’s control of the vehicle, including signalling, steering, accelerating and braking;

(b) systems to provide the vehicle with real-time information on the state of the vehicle and the surrounding area;

(c) driver availability monitoring systems;

(d) event data recorders for automated vehicles;

(e) harmonised format for the exchange of data for instance for multi-brand vehicle platooning;

(f) systems to provide safety information to other road users.
However, those technical specifications relating to driver availability monitoring systems, referred to in point (c) of the first subparagraph, shall not apply to fully automated vehicles.

2. The Commission shall by means of implementing acts adopt provisions concerning uniform procedures and technical specifications for the systems and other items listed in points (a) to (f) of paragraph 1 of this Article, and for the type-approval of automated and fully automated vehicles with regard to those systems and other items in order to ensure the safe operation of automated and fully automated vehicles on public roads.

Those implementing acts shall be adopted in accordance with the examination procedure referred to in Article 13(2).

Council of the EU Press release 8 November 2019 13:25
Safer cars in the EU

Safer cars for safer EU roads.
As of mid-2022, all new cars put on the EU market will have to be equipped with advanced safety systems. Following an agreement with the European Parliament last March, the Council today adopted a regulation on the general safety of motor vehicles and the protection of vehicle occupants and vulnerable road users in a bid to significantly reduce the number of road casualties.

These new rules will help us to reduce significantly the number of fatalities and severe injuries on EU roads. They also enhance the European car manufacturers’ competitiveness in the global market.

Timo Harakka, Finnish minister for employment
Ten years after the adoption of its predecessor, the new general safety regulation gives a new boost to EU action on road safety. For the first time, it addresses the specific concerns of vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists.

Under the new rules, all motor vehicles (including trucks, buses, vans and sport utility vehicles) will have to be equipped with the following safety features :

intelligent speed assistance,
alcohol interlock installation facilitation,
driver drowsiness and attention warning systems,
advanced driver distraction warning systems,
emergency stop signals,
reversing detection systems,
event data recorders,
accurate tyre pressure monitoring,
Supplementary advanced safety measures will be required for cars and vans. These include :

advanced emergency braking systems,
emergency lane-keeping systems,
enlarged head impact protection zones capable of mitigating injuries in collisions with vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists.
In addition to the general requirements and existing systems (such as lane departure warning and advanced emergency braking), trucks and buses will have to be designed and manufactured in such a way that the blind spots around the vehicle are significantly reduced. They will also have to be equipped with advanced systems capable of detecting pedestrians and cyclists located in close proximity to the vehicle.

Furthermore, the regulation enables the Commission to enact specific rules for the safety of hydrogen-powered vehicles and of automated vehicles. More generally, it provides for Commission to update the new specifications to take account of future technical developments.

The regulation updates existing rules on car safety contained in the general safety regulation (EC) 661/2009 and the pedestrian safety regulation (EC) 78/2009.

Next steps
The regulation shall apply 30 months after its entry into force. A longer application date is provided for a limited number of features in order to allow car manufacturers to adapt their production to the new requirements.

Background
The regulation is part of the Commission's third "Europe on the Move" package, launched in May 2018. The package aims to ensure a smooth transition towards a mobility system which is safe, clean and automated.

Seeing Machines Limited (LON:SEE) chief executive Paul McGlone and Pat Nolan, GM Aviation, explain the face monitoring tech company is now moving to delivery from R&D.

McGlone expects a significant reduction in the cost of its Guardian commercial vehicle fatigue monitor to have a material impact on cashflow.

Automotive, meanwhile, has seen a new chip supply deal for its Fovio system, which also simplify supply lines, while the third leg of the business – aviation – is seeing real traction with simulator groups, airlines and flight controllers.

The focus now is delivery in automotive and expansion in fleet/commercial vehicles and aviation.
