15/11/2023 22:40 | Yea doing well, though we don’t hold a huge amount of it. Shame about LGP It needs to 5x bag just to get their money back. Another one they should have sold before it dwindled away. | brave dave
15/11/2023 08:23 | Northern Leaf - Delivering: | clocktower
14/11/2023 23:08 | Share price is down nearly 40% since they commenced the share buy back. Imagine the damage if they weren't buying their own shares! | 1retirement
09/11/2023 23:41 | He sold those as a protest to Ed selling some of Portage shares. His holding here is just a bit of fun for him. Could even be taunting Ed. At todays net worth of Jim mellons investment portfolio it is minuscule. So much so if you do the maths. His holding in seed is the equivalent of somebody with a £100k portfolio having around £50 worth of Seeds shares within it. | mellonsbellend
09/11/2023 22:48 | Mellon sold out much higher in pastNow buying back in coz it's a cheap dogMight have some new tricks for it ?Or just wants his mitts on the wonga | westendwinston
07/11/2023 15:26 | When you say apply pressure to the board with a large holding? They won't even raise a meeting with you holding less than 5% or more. How much do you intend buying? | brave dave
07/11/2023 15:24 | It's been said to be cheap for years Marlin. It's NAV is lower than it was 8 years ago. It's all down to sentiment - years of downright lies and deceit. Anyone new looking in always thinks it 'looks cheap' Unless Ed drastically turns this around the share price and NAV will never get within a mile of each other. The good point being, if they do manage to turn things around, with the huge discount to NAV, it could quite easily multibag.........Tha | brave dave
07/11/2023 10:54 | Very roughly - assets Market cap £6mish Cash - £4.6m Receivables - £2.5m Holding in LGP.ASX £570k Avextra remaining stake - £1.95m Clean Food Group £1.1m Others - £1.6m So that's cash and listed investments of £7.6m The Avextra NAV has been validated recently via external funding/buyout - so we can be quite confident that's worth something. Likewise Clean Food Group raised its last round back in August 2023- so a relatively recent NAV confirmation. | marlint111
07/11/2023 10:49 | I've entered here this morning. To me its a simple cash vs NAV discount play. 7.1m of cash/receivables vs < £6m market cap. I intend to build a larger stake here and apply pressure to the Board to continue with the buybacks or start to return capital to holders via other means. | marlint111
07/11/2023 10:28 | Some interest here this morning as SEED is Up 10% and appearing prominently on the Leaderboard. | 888icb
02/11/2023 23:50 | This is peanuts to Jim Mellon on the face of it. Why would he bother with a £6 million company that has performed so badly? The only explanation is that he sees something pretty special about to happen here. Ed must be very pleased with this impressive vote of confidence. Very interesting. | 888icb
02/11/2023 23:38 | Like many have said it will take something really big for this to ever get near to its NAV again. Years of failure after failure. Its NAV is lower than it was 8 years ago. If they do manage to pull something out of the hat, it has got bagging Potential with the huge discount to NAV. I know it’s a big if…..stranger things have happened | mellonsbellend
02/11/2023 21:40 | Yep, and walked straight into loads of sells. So much for the buy back underpinning the share price. | 1retirement
02/11/2023 21:09 | That’s Jim holding near to the 10% he used to hold, before he spat his dummy out and sold a batch. | mellonsbellend
02/11/2023 12:50 | A 9.3% rise following this morning’s RNS that Jim Mellon has increased his holding. He has bought shares and has increased his holding from 7.57% to 9.26%. Very positive to see the man who started the company as Fast Forward after his book increasing his stake. Let’s also remember that SEED is invested in some Jim Mellon companies so he has the inside track on how they are going to do. You won’t get a clearer signal that SEED is going to rerate and substantially reduce the discount to NAV as well as increase the NAV. | 888icb
25/10/2023 08:34 | Very quiet this morning after yesterdays rise to close at 3.05p. No buyback RNS this morning for the first time since the buyback started and no trades so far. | 888icb
23/10/2023 13:26 | Not only does Ed owe me for the complete incompetence of this fund over the years, he now owes me for the time absolutely wasted on that pathetic interview. Instead of thinking of stupid ideas to promote Seed. How about you just invest in companies other than your own or that of your mates. Ones that may increase in value, and ones you are not afraid to sell, instead of holding until they become worthless. | brave dave
19/10/2023 21:35 | Ed Mcdermott interview released today on Youtube- | basstrend
16/10/2023 14:38 | As most thought and expected, the buyback is having little effect. Still it supports the sellers and increases NAV slightly. It's all down to sentiment, and that will need something big to change the years and years of looking after themselves and their mates, and not giving a ........ about investors | brave dave
16/10/2023 12:27 | I see Leap have just released their results for the year. Looks like they have done well enough for Seed to receive that conditional second payment. | brave dave |
