It was always going to be a bonus but wasn't to be. Now on to test the gas.
There is a working hydrocarbon system so plenty of chance for success elsewhere.

It will be interesting to see if they still believe it's worth drilling SD Deep 1X, which lies about 10kms to the west.
So onto testing the gas play, getting it developed and into production as soon as possible and all for £350K :)

They did find oil as many were speculating, just not enough to make it commercially viable. Annoying, but hopefully it will mean they can drill other similar systems with more confidence. I have no idea what will happen to the share price today.

Seems like there is a lot of short term focus here and not much in the way of long term. Surely it is a buy with the latter viewpoint no matter what happens with the rest of the current drilling? I have certainly invested on that basis!

Current drill basically free carries and a success. Any oil is a bonus.

Current gas strike 250-300 BCF. Next we'll expecting to double it. Short drill and fully funded.

totally forgetting they will drill 7 exploration and development wells to increase the reserve life in Morocco less than 2 months time, nevertheless at current levels PW said they are generating $13m free cashflow per annum from that asset in Morocco.

You mention they have short reserve life - true. That's already been mentioned on here. But they are actively and aggressively addressing this issue with exploration, development, enhanced field recovery and opportunistic acquisitions.

They have the cash and the assetbase to make the short-life into a relatively long reserve life - that has started with South-Disouq.

Tell me this, how many years do you think South-Disouq will produce gas for?


I would close that short now, your already under water.

re lowflow..Ive been in this game for 20years,and smart money would not be shorting sdx at this present time, your short is purley placed on a 50-50 outcome on sdx not finding oil, if you have shorted then your an idiot,with that type of decision making you wont last in this game to long.pure uneducated gamble
