An interesting takeaway from that interview is that the first 3 wells of the current campaign in Morocco simply replace the reserves that were produced in the same year. But PW does expect a small uptick in reserves.

The problem with these boards is people want daily price rises and can't accept shares falling for long periods. Its a long term investment this as its an exploration company. Drilling and news take time.Great news today

shakey - this had an 80% CoS, so you would have expected this to be priced in, to some extent.

The next one was risked around 20%, so perhaps the price rise reflects improved risking for that?

If that comes in it could be quite good.

Griffin, it's the stagnant share price that's causing it. That said, I am INCREDIBLY optimistic about this company's future prospects (and of course the share price).

Any one who has been invested here this long knows that we've had this type of good news before and the share price has declined on the day. I would say this recent price rise is not connected to the gas discovery (which on it's own is small), but rather (here's to hoping anyway) that we've found the bottom!

After the MM manipulation on the marked down on the bid, ( but still paying the same if selling ) the reason was needed sells to cover the large buy trade earlier on the book, so marked down the bid to panic the unsettle holders was the trick, the higher bid did not encourage the sellers so a new trick was needed

Well well that is a trade alright £35K worth, a slight delay on the trade, but no wonder that STFL has gone into the bid 46p ( 10:02 ) and then reported.

Yesterday's late change on prices was giving a clue of the bottom was reached and a change of direction was on the cards.

That change has taken place this morning on a very bullish Level 2 at the moment, only 1 MM at 46p offer for 3 at bid 45p

A tweet from Tom Griffin..#SDX is currently drilling in Morocco, costs $0.37c & sells for $10.0 rising to $12.0 per MCF. Rabul 5 Oil well in Egypt due to hit TD & Ibn Yunus spud due next week targeting 150BCF de-risking 2.5TCF & the share price hits a 52 week low, sometimes the market hands out a gift!

tgg, I know, I was agreeing with you and in their write-up they make it clear that it is based on guidance from the company.

p.s. someone else who seems to have suffered from the company's guidance is Paul Hitchens, whose research was published on malcysblog, here's what he had to say about Meseda in 2016:

"Management has now embarked on a work-over and waterflood programme, which should allow a doubling of gross production (up to 8,500 bbl/day) and hence boost cash flows."

Some change on the prices paid after 3pm
not any longer at 44.10, 44.12 or 44.15p to buy any shares this afternoon buyers were paying 44.40p, and there was a large buyer 71K

HAF - My point was that Edison are just repeating parrot fashion what PW told them!
