07/3/2018 16:35 | HAF - My point was that Edison are just repeating parrot fashion what PW told them! | thegreatgeraldo
07/3/2018 14:14 | UEN picked up again.. Oilplayer2009 @Oilplayer2009 30m30 minutes ago More 2,100 bopd oil producer #UEN (95p) was on the @VoxPodcast yesterday, chatted about bottom of recent trading range + 5% dividend yield + LOW £11.5m m/cap. A favourite 'play' of @TopTradersADVFN also, only 6.2m shares in free float, @VectorVest target £1.66p | uen_investor2
07/3/2018 13:44 | tgg "& where did Edison get the number from? ;-#))" I know the brokers get some stick for being conservative, but when this sort of thing happens you can understand why!!! I'm sure your (lower) number is the correct one, that's why I kept to 200bopd. In sum if they are hoping to move on from 600bopd (across Meseda) and have it doubled we're looking at 1200bopd. But there is a lack of clarity in their presentation slides (why am I surprised). They say that the doubling will come from workovers (AIUI), so the drills would be in addition to that. Or have the presentation claims been superseded. What do others think? | haideralifool
07/3/2018 11:16 | HaiderAliFool 6 Mar '18 - 22:04 - 5580 of 5589 0 0 0 tgg the 2,500bopd figure came from an Edison report, "SDX expects the well (post cleanup and ESP installation) to produce up to 2,500bopd." Hmmm and the SDX share seems to be 20%, so Rabul 2 is actually contributing 200bopd to SDX. .....& where did Edison get the number from? ;-#)) Last I heard, via overactive directors, was that Rabul 2 was at 1000bopd & they were hoping to get it to 1500bopd btw, 20% of 2500 is ....?? ;-#)) | thegreatgeraldo
07/3/2018 10:25 | Yes, very tough terms. Is it not just the receivables from circle oil that they are waiting on or is it more than that? | shakeypremis
07/3/2018 10:10 | shakey, No sarcasm, there is still plenty to play for. Its just tough terms but the real problem is not realising the cash for all the effory in a reasonable timeframe. Cash | cashandcard
07/3/2018 10:08 | Was your last sentence sarcasm cashandcard? | shakeypremis
07/3/2018 09:46 | shakeypremis, That's part of the reason I moved on, the EGPC promise to payoff rec. by end of 2017 was changed again. That has and will continue having an impact on the cashflow situation, and share price in my opinion. I agree with HAF, these are good assets. Cash | cashandcard
07/3/2018 09:36 | Really is a raw deal from the crooks in the Egyptian government (like all governments). Still, MEA Energy and various other deep pockets do really like SDX's prospects. | shakeypremis
07/3/2018 08:45 | Nope. You're right. 200bopd net to SDX. That really is quite pathetic from 1000bopd. However would they really drill more wells at Rabul just to get say an extra 200bopd if they can double the total output? Doesn't seem like it's worth it. I would think they are hoping for more than that. The government really do *uck SDX in Egypt. | shakeypremis
07/3/2018 08:38 | Haider, I think the figure is more like 500bopd net to SDX from Rabul (at the moment). | shakeypremis
06/3/2018 22:33 | neo26 5 Mar '18 - 18:16 - 5571 of 5580 0 1 0 no patient investors left in the stock matter, gone are the days when strong fundamentals counted now we are all gamblers waiting for the next rise.. SDX is sound company. ======= neo, I think we are all waiting for the next fall. | 11_percent
06/3/2018 22:04 | tgg the 2,500bopd figure came from an Edison report, "SDX expects the well (post cleanup and ESP installation) to produce up to 2,500bopd." Hmmm and the SDX share seems to be 20%, so Rabul 2 is actually contributing 200bopd to SDX. 200*24*365*0.6=$1m $24netback on US$65 oil, producing for 365 days and 40%tax. If that's anywhere near the right ballpark, it'll help explain why even a result as good as Rabul 2 at Rabul will leave the share price nonplussed. Obviously it all adds up. | haideralifool
06/3/2018 12:59 | So glad I switched this dog into FUM, saved me a 15% loss here and gained 20% over there!!! if only i had shorted this POS!!! | pjj71
06/3/2018 12:41 | HaiderAliFool 6 Mar '18 - 07:50 - 5575 of 5577 0 1 0 Anyway looking forward to newsflow...Rabul 2 was said to be around 2,500 bopd ..think that was mentioned on overactive directors, but has been reined in to 1000bopd | thegreatgeraldo
06/3/2018 09:50 | It appears there still is a seller at these prices as you can buy on mid price. Crazy.. | neo26
06/3/2018 09:33 | Recent TR1s have all indicated major shareholders buying. Any ii sells are tiny, and have not warranted an RNS. Conclusion, those with greater resources and 'information' than us mushrooms are sweeping these up, MMs are boring PIs to sell - so the 'haves' have more, while those that are not confident in their research, or with shorter timelines on returns, will grumble and hand their shares over. | darola
06/3/2018 07:50 | plentymorefish - your understanding of stretching assumes the same number of shares in issue!! Anyway looking forward to newsflow...Rabul 2 was said to be around 2,500 bopd and at current oil prices the netbacks are around US$18 per barrel. Rabul 5 is in a location that's likely not the same as the previously announced 3 and 4 and the drill date was brought forward - here's hoping they think they're really onto something. (Edit: SDX get 20% from the gross bopd figs) | haideralifool
06/3/2018 07:49 | Compare and contrast to the policy of Berkshire Hathaway, run by one of the richest men on the planet: "If managers (or directors) own Berkshire shares – and many do – it’s from open-market purchases they have made or because they received shares when they sold their businesses to us. None, however, gets the upside of ownership without risking the downside. Our directors and managers stand in your shoes." | phowdo
06/3/2018 07:40 | That's a lot of shares that PW et al may become entitled to but at least the targets are so very stretching! I may have to google what 'stretching' means because mine and the company's opinion on the word differs somewhat based on the figures they've used to highlight their case - nice work if you can get it!....:) | plentymorefish
05/3/2018 18:57 | I'm happy to wait until we are on the other side of this discovery and ramp up phase, and we are getting cash positive accounts displaying the numbers being forecast - this can't be ignored if it's real cash numbers are as strong as expected. | darola
05/3/2018 18:16 | no patient investors left in the stock matter, gone are the days when strong fundamentals counted now we are all gamblers waiting for the next rise.. SDX is sound company. | neo26
05/3/2018 17:53 | Had enough. I'm sure SDX will come good at some point but moved on. Market doesn't seem to value good news and the bad news takes it lower. Very frustrating. Cash generation will be key overall and I can see SDX getting bought out at some point in the future if the market doesn't start valuing the co properly. Best of luck to all invested. | pauliewonder
05/3/2018 17:44 | A dividend might help. | soulsauce |
