Bizarre, sitting on P31 of the September presentation are presumably the two exploration wells in question and not a mention of their spud or the 500 bopd discovery at Rabul 1
PW is saying Rabul 2 should be completed by the end of next week, when they will give a statement on reserves and productivity. Good sands, over a darcy, with an average 20% porosity. "Rates should be fairly substantial."

It is obvious that there is inside dealing going on here.

Given the recent share price moves there had to be a rise.....so was looking for more shares......unfortunately, the insiders were buying them all and the Pis could not get any.

So Rabul-2 was a bit of a surprise to the company. Quite a nice surprise judging by the interview, seems they weren't expecting the Bakr sand to be there

I saw that, did not realise just how much it was producing from 14.5ft.

Transglobe energy indicate average of 20api oil produced in that area.

This mornings RNS did already tell us Rabul 1 was producing:

"Rabul 1 encountered 14.5 feet of net heavy
oil pay with an average porosity of 21.2% in the Yusr sands and was subsequently completed as an oil producer
in the Yusr sands."

500bopd of heavy oil from rabul 1. Wow! I'll have to listen to the interview later. Rabul 1 may not be material enough to announce (250bopd net before gov take), but that looks very good for rabul 2 with over 100ft over net oilpay.

Just watched it again, he definitely said they are producing 500bpd from Rabul 1 from the Yusr sands. The Rabal 2 well will produce additionally from the lower Bakr sands.

Yes, I also thought I heard him say that Rabul 1 was already producing 500bpd? If it is why wasn't the market informed. That's not an insignificant amount of oil production.

The rabul 1 certainly sounds like a small puddle of the heavy stuff - so small it didn't even figure in management updates & comms. but the recently drilled well could well be significant and economic at that.

What I'm interested to know is just how many wells are they drilling and for what prospective resources?

So Rabul-1 didn't rate a mention, only hitting modest potential pay in the Yusr sands, yet Rabul-2 seems to have made an interesting find in the Bakr sands. Wonder if the company are as surprised as most of us seem to be.....

Shortsighted IMHO. So much to come here. Fully funded and cash generative, with a significant resource expansion plan. Between this and HUM I'm expecting a very lucrative next 6 to 12 months.

Sadly, because the price gapped up this morning we may well have to revisit 50.25 (high price yesterday) before we can continue upwards. 90% or so of gaps get closed so there is a good chance this one will close too and we have already gone a good way to closing it today. There's also another on the chart between the 5th and 6th of September between 44.5p and 44.8pish. I can't fathom how this can go back down there at this point - perhaps only if bad news were to hit - but as I said ~90% of gaps get closed.

Ah well. Nice while it lasted. Somebody offloading to keep this down, perhaps one of the iis that took part in last months placing. Always a reason to sell somewhere.
