Further to the spud announcement on 18 September 2017, SDX Energy Inc. (TSXV, AIM: SDX), the North Africa focused oil and gas company, is pleased to announce that a gas discovery has been made at its KSR-14 development well on the Sebou permit in Morocco (SDX 75% Working Interest).
The KSR-14 well was drilled to a total depth of 1830 meters and encountered 20 meters of net conventional natural gas pay in the Guebbas and Hoot formations over 4 intervals. The initial results have exceeded pre-drill estimates, and work is currently underway to further evaluate the well’s accurate recoverable volume estimate.
Once the drilling rig has left the location, the Company expects that the well will be connected to the existing infrastructure and produced. The well is anticipated to be on production in approximately 30 days.

Fantastic result this morning, SDX firing on all cylinders! Really looking forward to PW updating next Thursday all the strands and the medium term target for the company. Really need the market to wake up to the real potential here!

griff its the way it was done, we all wondered why the share price was falling, then bang.

why is the share price not heading north now, must be a reason they are having success with
the drill bit.

Like a rolling stone, once SDX kicks in to gear it will rerate quite quickly. Loads of news to come and each piece should add to the momentum.... if they hit anywhere near their production targets this is as cheap as....

The Rabul wells (Rabul 2 in particular) were should add materially to the cash flow here soon. They were unexpected bonuses. Additional free cash flow means less of a need to place and if you do still place shares then hopefully less shares will be placed.

PW has stated in multiple interviews that if the right acquisition opportunity arose, they would take advantage of it, via a cash raise. Obviously this would be value enhancing and therefore a benefit to shareholders (otherwise they wouldn't bother). I personally would be highly supportive of that move. As for general cash, SDX is generating bags of it every quarter, and the fund-raise RNS did state that the company is fully financed until the end of 2018, so I'm uncertain why the market would be concerned? I'm not. SDX is in a great financial position, but like any good business, if you have an opportunity to accelerate growth and create value, cash should not be viewed as a barrier to that.

Move along, nowt to see? Didn't the management just 'pay' for a note that said the topside was just 64p? Malcy clearly doesn't get his 'excitement' from the management coz they appear to be anything but? This along with other happenings raise the red flags for me?

Along with the rabul 2 well which has 100ft of net pay at meseda, sdx expect to increase production by installing new pumps at the work over wells this quarter.

"The production increase related to the facilities and ESP upgrades is expected in Q4 2017."

We currently have morocco drills going with results imminent on one well and then we have SD drilling 4 wells in q1 2018.

Interesting times indeed...

Looking more and more like we will have to close the gap on the chart to 50.27ish. Not a long way down to go at all but still annoying how often gap-ups have to get closed.

Rosneft have bought a 30% stake in the offshore Egypt Zohr gas field (current 850bcf resource) for $1.12bn.
Surely SD-1 should be worth more than the few pence it added to the share price

Good to see that PW will be attending the One2One Natural Resource Forum on 19th October. (remove the three periods between proactive and investors to make the link work).

It was probably posted somewhere at the time but his talk in 2015 at another event can be accessed from the link below. How things have changed. They were concentrating on Egypt and Cameroon at the time and now it is Egypt and Morocco (post the Circle Oil assets acquisition).
