That's a wonky auction print. They'll be back at 69-70 tomorrow.

Almost 2x avg volumes trading closing in the upper end of the day's range. Amida carnage in the wider markets that's the behaviour of a champ.

Cheers hastings, good spot.

Only around £300k of shares traded today, so hopefully this markdown is just the MMs screwing any sellers and trying to trigger stop losses in order to get hold of stock.

Hi Shanklin, glad you found it interesting.Obviously I can't speak for SDI, only relay what is said, so I'll try and clarify.A future placing wasn't ruled out, rather, at this stage there is obviously a preference I guess to utilise cash and possibly some debt given it is a cheap option and makes sense.I'm sure much depends on the size of any deal though and I've attempted to convey that too. They are as I also said very keen to grow the group to a potentially large size, as mentioned in the piece by Ken Ford, so I hope that I've helped further in some way.

Looking solid here fellas - closed at a 6month high amidst a very weak day in the wider markets. Happy to continue to hold (unless I am proven wrong)

Very interesting Hastings thank you.

Its unfortunate that in a video presentation a while back they mentioned that they might fund acquisitions via share placings, something they seem subsequently to have railed back from completely.

Excellent find hastings - "thousands of cameras " installed to optimize COVID-19 testing (and presumably also the opportunity to keep selling the accessories too):

“The qPCR test is vital in pinpointing COVID-19 positive cases and the timeframes in which these cases pose the greatest risk of spreading the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the wider population,” added Jason Evans, Sales & Marketing Director at Atik Cameras. “As such, the test enables the creation of an accurate database of infected individuals, to be used in conjunction with track and trace systems monitoring the contacts of those people, to trigger self-isolation procedures and, ultimately, control the spread of the virus. It is with great pride that Atik Cameras can now be part of this unprecedented effort to safeguard public health, with thousands of cameras installed in qPCR instruments around the world, each processing thousands of samples every day.”

Featured in the latest Investor's Champion update:
At the current share price of 69p, the market capitalisation is £67m. This looks decent value relative to larger AIM peer Judges Scientific (LON:JDG).

20 x forward earnings puts this on a share price of 84p. For such a quality business, I'm comfortable using a multiple of 25 x , suggesting a share price of 105p

The factually misleading bit in his post, you mean?

And focus on the importance of a broker's target price - since when was making money that easy?

It's 70p on the news.

Er....the important point....Finncap have this morning increased their target price to 110p....

And that excludes any upside from potential acquisitions.

The unimportant point....quibbling about the wording in Tomv33's post!
