27/12/2020 08:51 | Tipped by Mike Tubbs in Money Week, 18th Dec issue.Article - MoneyWeek's writers outline their top tips for 2021.'My main recommendation, however, is SDI Group (Aim:SDI), which focuses on both niche digital imaging and sensors and controls. Revenue is split evenly between these two areas. SDI more than doubled its turnover from 2017 to 2020 through a combination of organic and acquisition growth - a "buy and build" strategy. The companies results for the year to end April 2020 showed sales up 41 percent to £24.5m, operating profit climbing by 60% to £3.5m and earnings per share (EPS) of 2.66p.SDI's business is global with the UK accounting for only 42% of sales. The trading update of 22 October confirms that the company would meet its pre-virus expectations for the current financial year. Contracts related to the virus helped achieve this positive outcome. | mr doughnut1
24/12/2020 10:08 | Could well be! | johndoe23
24/12/2020 09:50 | Yes, could be the news of a Brexit deal? | tomv33
24/12/2020 08:49 | Moving up again nicely! | johndoe23
21/12/2020 09:19 | Out completely - leave smth for the next guy. | tongosti
18/12/2020 16:29 | I have tongosti on filter. Am I missing out? Is he saying anything of worth or ego ----? | petewy
18/12/2020 15:26 | It's a free world innit. I never pass unsolicited judgement on someone's else's approach (unless it is part of a wider argument). Find it quite something that the opposite is the case on these boards. Plenty of Warren Buffetts around - which begs the question: why has passive taken the world by storm? Lol. | tongosti
18/12/2020 14:37 | I am with trident. I am long here. Let traders do whateva. I know there are many people with different time frames. I am not here for pennies, longterm is where money is made | arregius
18/12/2020 13:36 | Or it could be that you don't have a clue on what you are talking about. As you can see I am transferring a lot. But to own cash register. Ding ding! | tongosti
18/12/2020 13:34 | Trading 500 times a year seems like a mechanism for transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient. Fella. | trident5
18/12/2020 13:29 | Not really. Try trading 500 times per annum repeating the same logic over and over again. You might be surprised. I guess you've got a different approach so happy it works for you. Enjoy the rise fella. | tongosti
18/12/2020 13:23 | "so it’s always a good idea to cash in into strength". Looks like a big mistake so far. | trident5
18/12/2020 13:21 | Cashed in a bit more and only have a third of original stake left with a very tight stop distance. Almost +70% from my entry price and all under just a few weeks. Doesn't happen very often such combination of the magnitude and the speed of movement so it's always a good idea to cash in into strength. | tongosti
18/12/2020 13:09 | ...followed by 15,000 shares just bought at 117p, when the offer price is currently 116p. Keen. | rivaldo
18/12/2020 12:36 | Nice 10,000 share buy at 115p just now - a full 1p above the 114p offer price. | rivaldo
18/12/2020 09:38 | Awesome action but it pays to keep a cool head. A consolidation is very very likely around these levels as we are indeed quite overstretched now. Tightening the trail stop on the entire position and all as Mr Market giveth and Mr Market taketh away. Good weekend chaps. | tongosti
18/12/2020 08:19 | sending you an IM. I own most of Cowie's list before he wrote it. | petewy
17/12/2020 22:32 | Peterwy any quoted solar funds you can recommend | acv74
16/12/2020 19:07 | Thanks Ymah, I'm top slicing. (five bagger) Heavy into solar funds. Growth and value | petewy
16/12/2020 15:57 | That's kind of you fella but you're wasting your breath on this one. What he should know is that if he asks anonymous posters around on what to do with his own money then clearly he's in the wrong game. | tongosti
16/12/2020 14:42 | just look at JDG - flying recently | alter ego
16/12/2020 14:16 | Hi Petewy I buy and hold, and am valuing it at 155 with what we currently know and more conservative, slower growth. In reality, I can see it doing better than that. SDI have medium term aspirations to reach 200, but that’ll be maybe 2-4 years away. | ymaheru
16/12/2020 13:48 | Anybody have a ceiling forecast for this share. I bought in cheap and will have to top-slice soon. | petewy
15/12/2020 16:27 | Rivaldo - SDI - a well kept secret that just keeps on performing. Sshhhhh! | stuart37
15/12/2020 08:35 | Today's rise is merely correcting the artificially low UT (on 20 shares) last night | glaws2 |
