Got in early doors but had to pay well over price. Got out 20 minutes later at well under but still nice profit. Bloody market makers. Will wait for the dust to settle now and spread narrow

Cinob, there was an article about SGZ in the Daily Mail's Midas column over the weekend. Usual puff piece telling us nothing new yet the shares go supernova. Makes you wonder what's the point of doing any research yourself when left field PR can have such an outsized effect on a share price compared to actual company RNS statments or operational progress. Utterly ridiculous. Still, well done all long term investors.

Have sat on the sidelines watching this one for a few years now, but was astonished at this mornings rise considering no RNS. So does someone want to enlighten me as to what the hullabaloo is all about

Initial work has already been carried out over some of this, and the results are promising, suggesting that at least three more mines could be created over the next decade.

The terrain is part of a geological belt stretching from Scotland through Ireland all the way to North America – a seam on which many highly profitable mines have been developed down the years.

That should boost the share price - presumably to facilitate the next fundraising event. Who can forget them telling us that no further financing was needed just before the first gold pour from the BPT? They led us up the garden path then and no doubt are doing so again. So tread carefully. The CEO is a snake whose promises and forecasts have been proven worthless for years - and there must be good reasons why he was never appointed to the board of any company prior to joining Scotgold.

It'll be bad enough when the many option owners start flipping for a quick/safe buck. No-one could blame them for that but the share price will be under constant selling pressure as Scotgold pocket the proceeds.

The Crom Allt Bridge concrete works are now complete and the steel beams are in place. Laying the decking is now underway!
