Blame Rogers and co - the morons.

They have ruined this company and ruined a lot of its shareholders too. May they be investigated for manipulation of the PR.

similar problems when they bullied over k & l and gerstmann review getting him the sack,wonder if that was the p.r. co throwing weight around then.sack them as soon as tomb raider done...bloody liability.not all publicity is good publicity!!

Disappointing debut for TR on the UK charts. It has a lot to do to catch up with TR:L, if it's only just outperforming TR:A. At least it is selling at full price, unlike TR:A which was discounted from Day 1.



It can only be hoped that this is a slow burner, which happened with K&L. That had a disappointing entry but hung around the charts through Xmas and into the New Year. It went onto sell 1.5M copies with lousy reviews, so hopefully TR:U can go onto reach 2M, especially considering there is a PS2 version to come and 2 download chapters for the 360. We shall have to wait and see.

Eidos' British PR firm, Barrington Harvey, has requested that websites which award Tomb Raider: Underworld a score of less than 80% do not post the review until Monday.

"Barrington Harvey is not in the position of telling reviewers what they can and cannot say. We love Tomb Raider and believe it merits a score of at least 8/10" The PR firm said in an official statement.

68% reviews on Metacritic fall in the 80-100% range at the writing of this article. While the PR firm may have been accurate with their assumptions, attempting to silence critics with a less than positive experience of the game may reflect poorly on the company's values.

When asked why the PR firm was attempting to do this, a representative told VG247 that they were "trying to get the Metacritic rating to be high."


think maybe this p.r.company should get the boot they were probably behind the sacking of reviewer last time...doesn't look good publicity.

Tomb Raider Underworld gets a good start in the French Micromania charts.
PS3 = 2
Xbox360 = 3
PC = 6

Surprised Tomb Raider can knock Call of Duty down to No3 in the French PS3 chart, I would expect the UK all format chart tonight to show COD5 no1, NFSU no2, TRU no3.
