05/11/2008 07:52 | Well found. Great publicity, great reviews (although I admit not being able to understand Polish!) I would be nice to see a run up to around the 30p level soon on the back of all this pusitive publicity. | davidbennett
05/11/2008 01:32 | UK 360 Magazine Summary Vast, lean, and totally mean, this is the Tomb Raider we've been waiting for. Opened out into a dramatic, detailed, and often exhilarating gaming world thick with exploration, combat, and puzzling, Tomb Raider: Underworld takes the series to new heights by combining its new free-form structure with a consistently high quantity of tried-and tested concepts to make Lara's latest a pleasure to get lost in. Rating 4/5 | gyroscope7
05/11/2008 01:28 | Can't read a word of this Polish Tomb Raider Underworld review, except the very last bit... 9/10 | gyroscope7

30/10/2008 19:46 | Thanks for the TRU score. Here's a bit more detail that I've ferreted out: "-Shooting and AI isn't so hot, pretty much the same as Anniversary, not improved. -"Nuts storyline and massive set pieces" -Enormous scale and variety -Impression you can go almost anywhere, whilst keeping you along set routes -Motorbike sections are a highlight -No real reward for treasures (unlike unlockables in Uncharted) -Feels like a vintage, polished Tomb Raider" To be honest, that's pretty much in line with most of the previews and, based on that, they could just as easily have given it 9/10. A vintage, polished tomb raider is what many people are looking for and the shooting/ai has been downscaled in importance as I understand it so if it remains weak it's a smaller weakness (if you see what I mean). I get the impression that European retail are going to get behind it so so I remain optimistic on this side of the pond. And if the US can be wowed by the graphics perhaps there's a chance to stop the US slide although that's going to be a tougher nut to crack. Still watching but nothing more than a punt at present. | darrens
30/10/2008 11:49 | Looks like you can add singstar ABBA to the list | dope007
30/10/2008 11:30 | Maybe even a Lego Tomb Raider...... Or is that going to far!!!!!! | dope007
30/10/2008 11:30 | FOrgot to add also that WB own Travellers Tales in the UK so taking SEG as a publisher could takeover TT's output from other publishers and see them publishing Lego Harry Potter and stuff from the WB catalogue. | dope007
30/10/2008 10:53 | And of course you can add Guitar hero 4, COD 5, Little Big planet, POP, etc to the list of releases in the window of death!!!! Did look at buying SEG but all that is left in my view is hope of a takeover but why waste money when you can buy it from the recievers cheap using your majority shareholding? | dope007
30/10/2008 10:44 | NO idea if already posted but OPM 2 give TRU a not so steller 8/10 at the back of the mag. Xmas release needs to score better to make Tomb Raider the seller it used to be imho Bioshock gets 10 Resistence 2 - 9 Midnight club LA - 9 Far Cry 2 - 9 mirrors edge - 9 | dope007
29/10/2008 14:46 | just my opinion gyro. 7/10 not bad, but my expectations were high and was very disappointed with the camera and twitchy controls, so perhaps that's why I was so down on it (and I am generally a very critical person when it comes to games and cgi). Wouldn't say that you should take my comments as being indicative since I don't get time to play games much these days, and I only played it for an hour or so. Good for my investment in SEG that it's being perceived as it is, and I'm sure the finished product will be more impressive than a short demo. Am personally not as impressed as I am by some of the other titles I'm seeing this Christmas. Ultimately that doesn't matter, what does is the opinion of everyone that might be buying it, and as you suggest, that seems to be +ve, which will make me much happier than my lack of excitement suggests. | pastasource
29/10/2008 14:16 | I'll buy it but will only pay £20 for it after xmas. Picked up folklore on PS3 for £4.97 the other day in currys | dope007 |
