DNA vaccines are known to be stable and have a long shelf life. As you say, the new batch was completed in August 2017 and from memory, I think the original batch took about 6 years to become obsolete. That suggests that the forthcoming trial must be completed by around 2023 and on the basis that it's likely to last approx. 18 months, they would need to start dosing by 2021.

However, it's not quite as straightforward as that. I'm sure the FDA will want to ensure that the drug supply is adequate to complete the trial in good time before there is any danger of interruption in supply. I don't think they'd allow them to cut it fine and just hope the vaccine stays within specification long enough complete dosing, especially given previous issues. On the other hand manufacturing techniques and stability of the vaccine may have improved since the last batch was manufactured so it's really difficult to say.

Probably worth asking Scancell directly but my best guess is that they have a bit of a cushion at the moment but wouldn't want to see it go beyond 2020 to start dosing.

Bit of a shame that the only positive that Inanaco has brought to this BB today is that of a disruptive influence.
Seems all he wants is to put a great deal of nonsense between some posts earlier so that nobody can consider anything apart from the crazy arguments since his arrival (from post 19933).
He's created a flurry of 51 posts of pointless argument and wasted time and effort!

Bermudashorts - if you are about . . . as 2nd batch of SCIB1 has been ready since Aug 2017 & we know the rough shelf life of the vaccine - at what stage does commencing the combo trial become pointless ? Puting it differently - is there, in your estimation a cut off point for patient dosing to start by ?

Like most people, i have many other equity investments, so my exposure here is exactly what i want, no more, no less.
As any sane person will have, many baskets, many eggs.

Dont trip whilst carrying your basket with 100% of your portfolio in it will you.

Its only relevant IF the deal happens... and even then, your entry price is OBVIOUSLY relevant... The cost of your ticket is taken away from you winnings... which then means that the size of your winnings are also relevant, once again, very simple mathematics.

So NO, its not all about the number of shares, its about numerous factors... you IDIOT.

If the BOD sell out next week at 30p and your average is 25p you've made 5p a share... whereas I've made 30p... and because you couldn't control your ego, everyone knows how many shares you hold, so i can catagorically confirm that my profit will be far in excess of yours, both percentage wise, and in cold hard cash... considerably more.
Furthermore, your 5p profit is actually way below 5p, because you've had your money tied up for 7 years, which means that you would have probably earnt more by putting it in the bank, at far less risk.. So no IDIOT, its got nothing to do with how many you hold, its what it has cost you to hold vs what you exit for , that is relevant.

Once again, the most basic of economics lost on you.
