TF posted about it.

I see one of the cancer forum posters is part of cohort 4, their 8 week stage came up last week post the news so no doubt a can done or due.

They took the last space with 3 on standby.

The early cohorts were 90% plus ovarian, 16 or so patients, with the 44% some type of impact response result. Head and neck and others only had one or two treated.

Going by the above being the claimed last space they are already at week 9, so perhaps quite a number of Modi various cohorts hitting the can results phase.

Perhaps Scancell have clicked re science terms versus the need to update investors. Hence in the last update the term regression was used to clarify what has happened.


The science version that they use RECIST is

Complete response (no trace can be found)

Partial response 30% to 99% shrinkage

Stable (which is not Investor friendly) gives a 20% shrinkage to 20% growth range.

Just a reminder anything around the 50% mark for efficacy with SCIB1 with checkpoint.. = commercial

55% very commercial

above this means the value rockets and the risk falls because of statistical diversion which means less chance of failure in a pivotal trial and a lot easier to do deals

now the good news if we do hit 55% ........ "Iscib1" will work even better

Scancell’s Modi-1 has successfully completed the monotherapy arm of the ModiFY Phase I/II trial, generating important results for the Moditope oncology vaccine platform. The first element of ModiFY showed Modi-1 was safe and well tolerated. There were encouraging, albeit early, signals of efficacy despite the advanced disease status of all patients. 23 patients have been treated to date, with 14 patients evaluated; of these 14, one has had a partial response and seven have stable disease. Morning and good to see nice reversal here.
Tyke-although I disagree with your synopsis that news plays little part in the share price performance but your major point that other influencers have a critical role as well is fully justified.
Anyway whatever works for you is all that matters so others who simply do not understand or have a closed mind to anyone else’s input are the ones most likely to lose out.
Personally I like a combination of fundamentals and sentiment/judgement calls including TA input but from other posters better able to comment on these matters and it works for me.

Tick up now 8.7% to 12.5p on volume of 618000. This share is very undervalued and it is good to see today’s strong rise which looks on track to exceed yesterday’s rise.

So why is Modiope working?

Moditope stimulates high-avidity, cytotoxic T cells

The Moditope platform exploits and harnesses the normal immune response that uses cytotoxic CD4 T cells to eradicate stressed cells. Citrullinated or homocitrullinated peptides are directly conjugated to adjuvant to activate APCs and allow presentation on MHC IIs to killer CD4 T cells. These primed killer CD4 T cells infiltrate the TME where they initially encounter citrullinated or homocitrullinated peptides expressed on the surface of APCs which stimulates release of interferon gamma (IFNγ), which induces local inflammation and upregulation of MHC-II on tumour cells. Tumour cells typically create an anti-inflammatory microenvironment, where MHC II expression is not upregulated, to evade the immune system.

The secretion of IFN-ϒ and the resultant inflammation could alter the nature of the TME, effectively converting “cold” tumours into “hot” ones, and so make a tumour visible to other elements of the immune system. Hence, Moditope stimulates the production of killer CD4 T cells which overcome the immune suppression induced by tumours, allowing activated T cells to seek out and kill tumour cells that would otherwise remain hidden from the immune system. This suggests Moditope offers the scope to be used alone, or in combination with other agents (including checkpoint inhibitors), to treat a wide range of currently hard to treat cancers.

Interestingly, the effect appears to be long-lasting as tumour rechallenge assays show generation of a strong immune memory.

Sorry to hear that you have no need of car parks at present. Those Reliants must be getting pretty long in the tooth now, so break downs and lengthy spells off the road are to be expected.

It might be a good idea to get hold of an old bike and some bicycle clips, as back up for times like this. It must be a real pain hanging around waiting for busses. Perhaps someone from the imaginary PM groups here and on the ARB bb would like to show their appreciation by organising a whip round?

Well it's a results business inane....and EW gets results.

I'm not an investor....I'm a trader.
Because stock prices follow a 'pattern', the big bucks are made by buying and selling at regular intervals. That way one stays on the 'right' side of the market.
Remember the tyke adage: it's not the stock that's important....it's when you buy and sell.

You are right about 'emotion' on bbs though. That is why the waves on my chart are so clear. You really should get on the right side of the bb market asap. The 5th, FO, wave is already well advanced, and its personality is not at all tolerant of chartless chartists or fantasists. It has a bit of a thing against folks who 'post to boast' too. Follow the waves, Tyke, follow the waves!

Someone asking why I chose the SCLP bb to impart my wisdom.
Well it could have been any ....all stocks move in the same patterns ...there are no exceptions.
But with a small low-volume stock it is preferable to see high 'emotion' in trading to give clearer wave patterns.
SCLP has very emotional traders...many with strong feelings who appear to be in-love. Not good for individuals...but great for elliotticians.
Keep them coming.

Lots of interest coming in with some great questions on Elliott wave.
One new messenger even interested in crypto which is my EW forte. Crypto has perfectly text book waves as it has no outside influences whatsoever. No 'noise' whatsoever. Noise is actually what you guys call 'news and events'.
As we see with SCLP, noise (or good news) has a negative effect during the corrective waves.
