My apologies, Sc2000uk for not welcoming you earlier.

Four posts in just under 3 years. With some of the points you've made perhaps you should post more often.

I appreciate the sarcasm.

Fair point, Reba but I like the reply.

Let's hope there are little or no delays. The Portuguese government don't seem to be much better in that regard. Let's hope Galp are able to push them.

Or you could bring in one of the countries largest companies that has a keen interest in progressing the project and have the government contacts. mmmmmm wonder if we could find such a company? :-)

Said all along. they should get someone in charge from the country they are dealing with. Someone who knows the ins and outs of the system to progress. If you were running the country concerned, would you prefer dealing with a local person, who knows the language, or one that was from the other side of the world such as Australia, who is completely alien to their culture and bylaws. Seen this happen so many times.

When did Osaka call for DA to go? Not recently from what I can tell.

I think a fair amount of the money would have gone on a 3,000+ page APA/EIA Doco that IS required to move into next phase.

Wasn't a matter of buying land, turning up next day and start extracting as much as you like.

What about GALP, do you really think they would have even got to DD stage unless they thought this was going to be happening.

Most mines do take about 8 years to get into production. What are we now, year 5? So on track.

DA is guilty of over promising on dates, but in this instance the dates are working in SAV favour the Li shortage in EU is going to be massive (I know 3 people who have ordered EV's in last 4 weeks, 1 was a committed petrol head) I put EV sales at 25-30% come 2023/4. We do have own one of the very few options available in EU.

Goodday1,some of what you write is true although I can't remember bonuses or free shares and I'm not sure that Osaka can be called a lapdog.

I'm no fan of Archer as can be seen in many previous posts but is now the right time for such a post?

April was the month for expected news so maybe later in the quarter is possibly a better time for such posts.

DA has been doing placings for years. He failed in Finland & Oman.Heavy sand nowhere to be seen. All the money he spent on Portugal to buy the land went to his mate!He has been issuing bonuses & free shares for himself.

Too soon to pass judgement on DA. Potentially, there are three huge updates bubbling away in the background...Barroso, another off take agreement and of course...Mutamba. If it's thumbs up on any of these we could easily be in double figures so worth sitting tight and letting Mr Archer do what he does.

I think it is all going to come good and these are my biggest holding. Ultimately it all takes time, and the EV industry is only just getting started. Yes DA gets paid a lot but he also has a reasonable amount of shares so will hopefully be trying to get us a good deal in the longer run.

We know Galp are looking at building a refinery and that VW are considering a gigfactory in Iberia, If EV sales reach levels that they are forecast to the lithium market is going to be undersupplied for many years. Galp are doing their due diligence and we still need the BFS and mining license. Hopefully it will all come together.

I hope to one day wake up to a flurry of positive news announcements

Roll on 5.5p resistance being taken out.

This video is from Infinity Lithium but I found it interesting to listen to the case for lithium hydroxide. Some useful comments which could easily apply to Savannah.

Thanks to Glengarth for this link:-

Savannah Resources said today that the Barroso mine has already received more than 200 spontaneous job applications, demonstrating its interest "in a structuring project for the national and local economy".

Savannah Resources points to a socio-economic study carried out by the University of Minho on the Mina do Barroso project where it estimates that the project can generate around 300 direct jobs in the construction phase and 215 in the exploration phase, with an additional 500 to 600 indirect jobs. The investment volume is 110 million euros, referring to the construction of infrastructures and implementation of the project.

David Archer, CEO of Savannah Resources, considers that the number of spontaneous applications received so far “demonstrates the interest that the Mina do Barroso project is arousing at local and national level. We are committed to local people to develop a project that creates new opportunities for employment and life, respecting the values and traditions of a region that is at serious risk of desertification. For this reason, we present a project that makes sustainability one of its greatest characteristics ”.

According to the same study, Mina do Barroso will have a contribution of 437 million euros to GDP and will increase the export of ores by 20%. It is estimated that the taxes collected by the municipality of Boticas will increase 133%.

The project will also contribute, according to Savannah, to “qualify the region's human resources, combat desertification and is not just another mining project, but a project for the future of the region and Portugal, whose development will be based on the most modern techniques of 'green & smart mining' and sustainable development, in full compliance with Portuguese and European environmental legislation and regulations ”.

The exploration of the Barroso Mine places the country in a privileged position in the lithium battery value chain, encouraging the development of other projects and valuing national resources.

The project, which awaits the Portuguese Environment Agency's declaration of conformity, will serve as an anchor for the development of the lithium battery industry, which will represent an important economic boost for the Portuguese economy, contributing to the country's recovery in the post-pandemic .

Applications were received spontaneously through various means, so Savannah decided to create a dedicated email for this purpose: recruitment@savannahresources.com. Savannah is available to receive and analyze applications from anyone interested in working at Mina do Barroso in the near future, and is developing a conditions plan that will be presented to all interested parties in the coming months.

Savannah Lithium, a subsidiary of Savannah Resources, is a mining prospecting company that, since 2017, has developed all the studies necessary for the development of a litiniferous feldspar exploration project and subsequent production of spodumene concentrate in the Barroso Mine, whose concession has existed since 2006.

Looking positive. Agree, Mozambique is a bloody nightmare...I hold stock in RAI and they've just evacuated their entire workforce from Cabo Delgado in the North although things do appear to be settling down a bit.

Rising nicely. Will we get to 5.75p on this leg or will the expected news materialise and take off begins?

Sad to see the troubling news in Mozambique. For anyone new to SAV the trouble is in the far north of the country where there has often been unrest.

Mutamba is in the south of the country where there is some semblance of stability.
