Welcome to the two newbies. Lloyds bank and Aston Martin posters and not new to ADVFN. You seem to have brought a bit of buying with you.

Sif12, you're best starting with the scoping study from 2018:-

can someone provide a few brief points

rough cost of development?

how much cash could they generate? operating profit or cashflow?

i had some finger in the air figures:

Article states potential revenue of $1.5bn over 11 years.

Im assuming $300m development cost (states $109m in article , but these things always overrun significantly)

Annual value of $100m. annual costs $30-50m?

So operating profit of about $50-70m..

Assigning a PE of 10.. $500- 700.. or about £400m to £550m MCAP (and this assigns no value to Mozambique)

Am i way off?

'White Oil'.....'White Gold' more like. Great article, thanks for posting maxk. Personally, I don't think is a matter of if, it's more a matter of when the licence will be granted. What Gov't would not want to be a major producer and exporter of lithium? I very much doubt a few locals or environmentalists would have the clout to pull the plug on this project.

maxk that whats got me here this morning.

the intention of the article is to highlight how the green EV movements critical reliance on lithium massively and maybe ironically has significant environmental impacts

however, what reads through.. is the significant opportunity for SAV in Portugual

yes very frustrating, even worse is vulcan energy. Infinity lithium also done well.

Longer term the EU is throwing money at the industry and sooner or later some will find its way to sav, hopefully there won't be too many more rights issues.

Exactly , this share should be buzzing , not sat at historical lows , take of agreement was promised to be completed by November 2019 , maybe DA has been spending to much time in the Restaurant and not enough time getting the deal done ,do show us you have the required skills please.

I found this article from the 24th. It will have some kind of effect on SAV but unclear what and I dont think the goverment know at this moment. This might explain why it wasn't mentioned in Thursdays RNS.

Trouble at mill if anything to go by what has been posted on lse. That said, understand it has been discounted as not applicable to MdB on the basis of an existing mining licence. Mmmm......I suppose this might separate those that favour red, black or even green. Some may need this less than the hole in the head.
