I'm not excluding licensing. I'm saying there's zero growth in the core business. Licensing is only about 7% of the business and historically it's not been sustainable and can disappear quickly. It's a very nice earner for them but it's not what their business is all about. You say it's growing, from memory a few years back it was around the £6.7m mark then it collapsed after a large agreement wasn't renewed. Will accept that this time it seems to be a collection of more smaller agreements - but unfortunate a breakdown of income per contract is never published, only the accelerated income.

Why do you continue to exclude licensing?

It's the most profitable part of the company, growing and obviously the focus point of management.

Don't know where you are fetting your revenue figures from DD, but both Stocko and sharepad show revenue 2014- 2017 increased from £78m to £92m. 2018 - 2020 circa £112m. Covid slump in 2021 and now returned to ~ £112m More importantly PBT which historically has been between £5-8m; it slumped to < £5m in 2020 and 2021 - now it has risen to >£10m.

Well we’ll have to see I feel they are in a shaping and positioning phase I don’t disagree with your opinion that top line growth is a bit flat but I think a little patience is required here

Yep, just a pity SDG haven't changed strategy in terms of their core business, because clearly it's not working. Can't rely on licensing income growth alone.

Your very negative- is it because you’ve missed the boat? I personally don’t think so but that’s what makesa market - I don’t think they’ll be a profit warning just slow and steady progress

So is that an extra £0.7m for licensing since H1?, 10% uplift isn't bad I suppose but doubt income from the underlying / core business has grown at all. A profit warning next month (or before) wouldn't be too much of a surprise IMO.

The wife happened to mention that wallpaper is supposedly in fashion for this year, so in Peter Lynch style I remembered Sanderson Design. Looking into the fundamentals and their pattern catalogue, looks good and question is can they conquer the US market? Only doubt I had was at the end of the recent investor presentation, CFO happened to mention some orders hadn't come through, but they are reiterating guidance in line. If we have an increasing consumer spend on home improvements (NI cuts, etc..) then could be upside from here. Good Stockopedia commentary with high stock rank. I bought in last couple of days.

salver2, the only thing I hate is blatant ramping. trt and daisy beforehand is prolific. As someone I've always regarded as knowledgeable and a worthwhile contributor to this board, I'm surprised you haven't noticed.
