I expected to find Cheryl Cole under my xmas tree last year, gift wrapped with a large pink bow, I was disappointed to say the least but in true SLE spirit I expect her to be there this year.

San Leon’s case, however, we believe that any successful bid will have to be greater than 75, given that: (i) a 30% premium to the undisturbed share price (55p) would be some 20% below our last published lower range valuation, which only consolidates core assets utilising then forward curve, which has strengthened significantly since; and (ii) the Company has just completed the acquisition of OML 18, and according to information available, all appears to be progressing as planned.

of course they haven't completed the acquisition of OML18, they haven't completed an acquisition of any part of OML18, best not to mention the 53 million already spent from the placing monies.

elrico it seems clear to me the bid has to be at least 80p, firstly the initial offer is pitched at 80p and I doubt that is the maximum they will go to and secondly Tosca and other invested heavily at 80p and will be expecting a return on that. Also the oil price has been ticking up recently. It would not surprise me if another bidder came in, this company is very undervalued. Something over £1 would be good.

Yep, where have heard that buy since the relisting and hold to Xmas at 70p before? Not going to be any where near 70p - it's an impossibility. Remember whenever there's a rumour of good news coming down the pipeline it usually ends up being a precursor for something really bad - as in production has been dire, there's no more cash left and it's getting taken to court by the legal clients who want there payment for defending them against the debtors who also want there money. And can't find a loan because there assets which they paid through the teeth to maintain have been completely liquidated on the cheap.

of course the cynic might think it's just a scam to divert attention away from the fact that SLE haven't made a court application yet, so can't include a dividend in their 2016 accounts and so therefore what they stated in the admission document just a few months ago was just more boll*cks.

I hope they have and TOSCA indicated the price they would sell for > 80p.
then they have to add on the value of the pipeline sl1nky posted had been started in Turkey so that's still 80p.

If the bidder is serious and it's not just another scam the first company they would have talked to is the company holding 56% of the shares, TOSCA, otherwise it's just another exercise in futility.

Four stocks for 2017.

San Leon has to be my top pick with a bid of 80p already in the wings and a top fund holding over 50% means the bidder will have to up that to succeed.

Fox Marble, risky but so well underpinned with assets could easily be a 10 bagger.

Gama Aviation, a pe of 4x this has been sold down by a fund to a ridiculous level.

Stride Gaming, another stock that has continued to shoot the lights out but indiscriminate selling by a fund has taken them down to a silly level.

anyway look on the bright side u could have been posting here, like sl1nky, since it was £40.00, that is some out performance.
if u had bought 9k worth of shares it would be worth after nearly 4 years £450
if u get 17% yield on that, u will not but let's fantasise for a moment, £76.50, going to take a while to get back to 9k !!!!!
now if the share value rises the yield falls so u will still receive £76.50, u should be able to buy some ' stuff ' with that.
looking at the figures I understand why u never comment on SLE but follow me around like a dog with rabies.
having supported the share for 4 years, how many cheap warrants were u offered ?
TOSCA got there's at 25p.

The Board of San Leon notes that an offer period under the Irish Takeover Panel Act, 1997, Takeover Rules, 2013 (the "Takeover Rules") in relation to San Leon commenced with effect from its announcement dated 24 August 2015. The Board of San Leon confirms however that the potential offeror has not made an offer for San Leon and the potential offeror has terminated all discussions with the Board of San Leon in relation to the possible offer.

WellToday 10:32At least it concludes that sle are a production company and that the deal has been concluded.

I echo mcco post until the company state what is happening then the company still exists and proves that the company certainly has something as someone want to buy it, 2nd bid in a year!.

Will it happen well we will have to wait and see.
