@Gooner1886

Nice name by the way. :)

The Russians like to have Novak shouting “Nyet”, allowing for Putin at the very last moment the opportunity to ride his mythical unicorn on to centre stage exclaiming “Da”.

Putin loves the accolades.

Even if the Russians don't reach accommodation, I'd expect the Saudis to revert to a pure OPEC stance, dropping the "+" and agreeing the necessary output cuts without Russian participation.

Why do I say that?

1) The Russians don't tend to comply anyhow. Their capacity for redefinition of base commodity types is legendary. So it's not that much of a loss in reality apart from the tangible effects of media news flow.

2) The Saudis absolutely need to see the market back in balance more than any other participant in these discussions.

3) The Saudis have already had to hugely cut exports to China in recent weeks in any case. Shipping tracking data is very useful where pipelines are not the major route of delivery. :)

BTW - RDSB closed up 3.6% Stateside.

Firstly , what are the odds of two Watford fans on here! Great result against Liverpool! Let’s follow up against Palace.

On topic, have read anything regarding OPEC or just an assumption?

They have to cut but I don’t think it matters when you see what else is going on

Still a lot of pain out there

Hope everyone stays well during this whole thing

Health before wealth!

Wonder how it will turn out.

Thanks guys

I’m wondering if OPEC meeting is a buy the rumour sell the news event

I.e even if they do cut, the price will still drop. Similar to how the fed cut didn’t lead to a rise but a drop

Also revisions tend to cause lower oil prices and the fears of recession much higher

Shell eyes return to local gas market
CHRYSSA LIAGGOU

depa_web

TAGS: Energy

Oil giant Shell is seeking to make a fresh entry in the domestic natural gas market through DEPA Commercial, changing the landscape in the battle for a 65 percent stake in the company, and generally in the retail and wholesale natural gas market.

Government sources say there are two more European companies considering participation in the tender for a strategic investor in the gas company, namely France’s Engie and Hungary’s MET.

Engie appears to be in talks with GEK Terna for a joint bid in the DEPA Commercial tender, while MET is said to be seeking a partner to join the race and has already issued proposals to Greek groups.

However, the big surprise in the tender will apparently be Shell, which departed the Greek market in 2018 by selling its 49 percent stake in the Attica Gas Corporation (EPA Attikis) to DEPA for 150 million euros.

Now the British-Dutch company is said to be interested in the long-term contracts that DEPA has with international suppliers such as Gazprom, Sonatrach and Botas, rather than in the domestic retail market.
