Surprised there's nothing in the press regarding the China Corona virus figures which seems to be stuck at 80K confirmed cases?

Why are the press not talking about that?

Politics latest news: Italy-style lockdown measures 'possible' in UK, as Government prepares tackle coronavirus 'in a different way'

The UK could face Italy-style lockdown measures in the UK, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jenny Harries has warned.

She said strict population restrictions were "possible" and confirmed that the Government would be tackling coronavirus "in a different way as we move into delay".

Dr Harries said: "We still want to stop people running the risk of transmitting disease but if we have a large number of cases we will ask them to safely isolate themselves at home.

"What we’re trying to do is only use those interventions which we know will reduce the numbers of cases, reduce any severe illness or death but also minimise the impact on the economy."

The Government’s top scientific advisers will hold further talks today on Britain’s response to the coronavirus outbreak....
