Royal Bank of Scotland

FY2020 dividend forecast: 14.9p

14.9/170.86 = 8.7%.

The divi is not, of course, guaranteed.

I suspect that the BoE will introduce measures in coordination with the European Central Bank, the Bank of Japan and the US Fed.

Bank will take ‘all necessary steps’ to protect stability in face of virus
Just in: The Bank of England has said it is working with the Treasury and FCA as well as international partners “to ensure all necessary steps are taken to protect financial and monetary stability” in the face of the global coronavirus outbreak.

A spokesperson for the BoE said:

The Bank continues to monitor developments and is assessing its potential impacts on the global and UK economies and financial systems

That has caused the pound to dip – expectations of a rate cut make it less valuable for investors to hold sterling.
