Well the market is still 6.36% short according to Euroclear.

This is down from 7.76 % short in February, so the trend is that shorts are being bought back. But (rubbing hands) lots more to go.

This massive upgrade from Citi will only accelerate buying back of shorts.

255p is a very painful target that Citi have set if you are short.

Given what is going on in the world I struggle to see the bear case for this stock. The macro trends are aligning with RR as a company. Resurgent air travel, energy and of course defence.

I reckon if you can get a genuine close above 156.80 - they are next assessments for sell calls

But taking out 156.8 is going to take something special indeed. of course if so, well, fulfils the above anyway

If you can, id even buy it myself

When this breaks 160p (last 3 year intraday high hit on 09/03/23) ..

..well, there is a gap to be filled to 184p

And then above that there is not much resistance to 240p

Well, I am off again on holiday. To Minorca this time. I know Easyjet do not run RR engines. However clearly... Holidays (and air travel) are resurgent.

As I have said before...

Even if the planes fly empty you have to service the engines.

Airlines, profitable or not have to service their engines

As long as aeroplanes are flying you have to service the engines.

This is the bulk of revenue for RR.

Long way to go here.
