15/4/2023 19:18 | i think you looked to old money of 2006 as that low support. Well done and 1st quarter of 21, and literally next day support of 1st quarter 2009, to be in this for 192 or 233. Well done so far But for some reason you are ignoring the truly big kahoona in the room also from 2006? If they played the first money, is it any surprise they are dumping out at 100%, based on same, today? At 100%? 2006 was far different, it was going to go on forever, until 2007/8 came lol Far worse today | freddie krugger
15/4/2023 19:03 | Im not sure what you are all looking for? Maybe RSI's and stuff to fall back to the right number in consolidation or something? Wont work like that here Stealth Offloading | freddie krugger

15/4/2023 18:35 | RogerRail: Thankyou for the two posts (10787 and 10791) and the data each provided. The latter one was a slog to wade through but provided a fascinating insight into many aspects of aircraft selection that I'd never considered before. However, my initial reaction to the detailed report leads me to believe Boeing in cahoots with G.E. will succeed to a greater extent than Airbus and Rolls Royce. If G.E. grant full servicing rights to Delta that negates one key advantage RR currently have. We have seen recently how US protectionism in respect of electric car manufacturing has had a detrimental affect upon European electric car manufacturers in particular. They tend to look after their own far more than we do. Next week I'm on a Qatar widebody and will check if the engines are RR. Coming home, I'm with Delta/Air France so who knows? | mcunliffe1
15/4/2023 16:48 | Just in case anyone missed the significance of my earlier post #10787, this article aptly illustrates the importance of Delta as a key customer of RR (ignore the obvious GE/Boeing bias): | rogerrail
15/4/2023 15:07 | Back in late Oct 2020 the rights issue raised the number of shares from 1.93 billion to 8.37 billion. It was a 10 for 3 offer. I'm concerned that after paying down some of the debt - as has already happened and been widely reported - the directors may well elect to have a share buy-back in addition to or even in place of a dividend. I'm no lover of buy-backs and in my view they do not always raise the share price and in any respect, such movement can never be compared to a rise (or fall) were there to be no share buy-back. This makes them a safe option for directors. I hope I'm wrong. | mcunliffe1
15/4/2023 14:07 | Seems RR won't stay above 150p, but travel is hotting up so along with RR's other interests I think we may see a boost in the share price | cautios7

15/4/2023 12:03 | dipa11: thanks for the link to SAF fuel. Midway through the report it stated that half the electric generation worldwide could be needed to power the airlines of tomorrow, either through green hydrogen production, processing plant material into SAF or battery powered aircraft. This is precisely what we are now seeing in the electric car market. A massive undersupply of power and re-charging infrastructure causing a slow-down in the uptake of electric car ownership. I have read previously that to produce plant-derived SAF would require a considerable increase in the amount of farmed land - probably at the expense of under nourished, populous and poor countries. Not exactly a great prospect. It strikes me that energy is the limiting factor in all aspects of 'going green'. This is a problem with a potential solution in SMR's Up in the Orkney Isles they are creating green hydrogen using the power generated from the tidal race passing between the islands (and aided by wind turbines). This type of project should be scaled-up and replicated worldwide. | mcunliffe1

14/4/2023 11:17 | MCunliffe1, my capital gain of 64% as l write and future recovery of the share price will far outweigh any dividend. Let the company recover and pay dividends later. | smurfy2001
