I reiterate my previous post.....

Why are some people on here talking to these idiot grunge monkeys, like vlad et al?
You are only playing their game. So ignore them all and they will just talk amongst themselves.
I just fly through my filtered lists and just read the sensible posts, it's easy.

Zulu: my only thought is are they long and wrong, just holding like we all have to at times. Personally, I think RR will come good.

Mr Geordie.

It's just for those whom understand the slang. I think you had to be born post 1821 to understand it

Well the best the man in the video could come up with for it to double in price in three years was.

"If you think it can double"

Didn't hear anything else. Then fair enough, attached risks

No solid reasons to buy that risk

It's just that I notice every comment on most threads implies risk free investing

That's the best idea maxi, I agree.
This could be just the beginning of a strong recovery for those shares beaten down during the pandemic such as IAG, RR, LLOY, etc.

Authorities have decided to inflate away their debt.
Way back we would take out a big mortgage, then inflation would take care of the debt.
seems a lot at first, eventually is peanuts.

World debt is eye watering.

When inflation is about, and secretly the policy of central banks, we have to invest in assets.

Rudder - interesting point you raise re: CFDs. I think it's almost impossible to get the figure for CFD shorts as there are so many providers and they tend not to make such information available.

You also have to try and differentiate between out and out gamblers and investors who see CFDs as part of their investment strategy.

For what it's worth, I use CMC Markets as well as buying shares through Halifax. I don't trade CFDs but I do have a long position on RR. with them. According to CMCs "Client Sentiment" graphic at 4:30 this afternoon 99-100% of all clients are long on RR. When considering what they classify as "Top Clients" (i.e. those clients whose accounts are currently in profit - around 30% of the client base) they say 100% are long both in terms of position value and the number of open positions.

Personally I find it hard to believe that you can ever get 100% of anything in financial markets but it does make the point that there are very few RR. shorts in evidence.

Hope that helps. DYOR and all that.
