Shares could do with a bit of a pull back. Getting harder to maximise Isa's from other shares especially with next years very low CGT allowances. Unfortunately some of my RR. shares will never get moved across now.

It's possible that all the turbulence today is because the management personnel have been awarded there LTIP today and will be selling them off as they have matured today! Just a thought ?????

Claret , I think you may be correct, RR has been tipped by every man and his dog, it’s about the company keeping on its recovery track and not spooking the markets by not meeting expectations.

From the bottom of the bear market for Bitcoin to current highs its gained approx 390 percent (in 16months). Rolls Royce in the period of 16months from 10th October 22 gained approx 470 percent. Truly astonishing. Rolls Royce has added another 15 percent to present day. At some point it has to plateau and range for a month or so to allow people to accumulate for the next leg up. Got a feeling the time has come. Good luck all

Oh am not concerned, just a large movement in number term, obviously not in %.

Also doesn't help am needing to sell to max CGT allowance and get stock into an isa wrapper.

Sdt, it’s not always 1 way traffic , it’s been that way for a year with RR just consistently climbing.

17p swing at 430p is better than a 17p swing at 80p.

Facts are it’s down 2% on the day at present.

I was going to sell some if it reached 437p as that would be a 7 bagger for me, I was going to take out my original stake, it didn’t make it :)

I'm thinking today is an opportunity to top-up.

My average is 347p for the 3744 I hold. Adding another 700+ will not help my average but I think these have further to go and I'm looking towards a dividend reinstatement within the next 18-24 months.

Not short sighted at all LL in my book , it is never going to make mass market and I for one certainly won't want to buy a ticket on an all electric plane ! But if you can increase the price you want for part of the business via new R&D then you can invest the proceeds into debt reduction and dividends so I think it's a very good call
