noramping, I have 2 SIPP's with Hargreaves Lansdown, 1 in drawdown 1 untouched.
Great mobile app and very easy to manage.

hello noramping:
To answer your second part - yes, you can have a SIPP as well. I would imagine you could have several SIPPs.

I use ii and find they are very good for my SIPP. Simple but useful platform, their APP is fine as well (for when I'm away from my desk computer). They are responsive whenever I've asked a question - both online by 'chat' and in person on a 'phone call.

Their charges at £12.99 a month are more than acceptable as they pay a decent rate on cash held in the SIPP - for me, far more than the £12.99.

Dealing costs are very acceptable (£5.99 I believe) and the time I've looked at US shares I could buy without a problem. I haven't yet so cannot comment on pricing of such deals.

I would recommend ii to anybody.

Off topic, just asking for some SIPP advice? Who/which are the best for full access to U.K. and US funds and or shares? What are the costs?

I assume I could open one whilst having a company pension and a deferred DC pension which I may transfer in future when CETV values improve.

CEV?

If the UK government was really serious about SMR and noted the 12 number there would/should be cross country discussions. RR have already started these with another number of countries...

Sadly no faith simple common sense solutions to complex problems don't exist with any of the current or potential political options.

But of course RR is sat at the top of the tree just waiting for that contract to be awarded by which ever party get in ! So definitely not one to be ignored at the moment that's for sure , especially where potential net worth of a stock is concerned !

But Australia may help.

The expansion of the Derby nuclear facility to accommodate the AUKUS submarine reactor build program could easily be adapted/shared with an SMR production facility.

The economomies of scale kick in if you count the sub's as part of that 12 order thegrafter.

We simply need a government with foresight and imagination.

We simply don't have such a potential government.

"It is disheartening that the UK more or less organised its SMR selection contest to ensure that every candidate was a mini-version of pressurised water reactor technology."

"The process in the UK has been captured by vested interests. The Government left things too late and then put huge pressure on bureaucrats, who jumped on what looked like a quick solution"

""Rolls-Royce is the front-runner. Its 470 MW reactor relies on home-grown technology, aiming to locate 80pc of the supply chain within the UK. The parts can be mass produced in factories. Done in volume, this could slash costs. “We need to see them rolling off the production line like Nissan Micras,” said Dr Stone."

"They can be exported worldwide and earn revenue. I wish them all the best. But Rolls-Royce is unlikely to proceed unless the state guarantees that 12 will be bought. That takes money."
