Shorters are investors too. In fact, I've seen them in shares far longer than most retail 'long term' investors

Here they will only see an event as a question of when ..given they always come

You could simply call it an investment for event demise

Personally I don't think an event is required to cut share price 50-60%

So why did share price rise?

Simple

The boys need an out...

If they were confident in RR, just be slowly trading around 120p today, steady as she goes

The vertical rise was an awful event for those with long term aspirations

More asset stripping to come

Don't you see the issue?

Every asset strip, they become more and more high risk, linked to any global event and flying time etc


Yet RR customers are saying they can forget the net margins they need in service contracts. Won't be happening

RR will never be in a position to cushion an event

All the shorters will do now, as RR asset stripping exposes it more and more to global risks, is wait an event ..
