Could be concern over Australia's new Labour government. Could have their eyes on Australian oil revenues?

I suppose I should go back to the Director sells and ask the question why, and then why do we get this severe beating of the share price against the intraday market trend?

I have it in the back of my mind there was a reserve write down for Zhoa Dong but not enough to warrant this.

The Director sells mirrored what happened with Hardman and ML are involved here too for a similar percentage so I can smell a rat.

To take advantage would be nice, however as this support level is broken I expect the share price to move to it's next support level without news, that is around 75 pence I think in 2004.

I have likened this to the Hardman action............

The UK market is not so inclined to follow this time by the looks of things over the last 2 days.

I expect a big bounce in Oz, if not then yes to your last question imo.

Oz has dropped this a further 9% overnight leaving it 90pence mid.

Cant see why.

Good fightback from the drop today at open, against the tide in Oz so it will be interesting to see what they make of it tonight.

Milho-1 has been drilling for 2 months now, originally they hoped to be around TD by the end of Jan... so barring probs, should be news in the not too distant?

Yes, ROC certainly seem to be on a roll - in the wrong direction...

Nearly 14% down overnight as a result.

Now perhaps I understand why ROC issued an unexpected Trading and production update 4 days ago.

They will have known about this so this is the sugar coating imo

Production, sales reserves update.

Unusual step by ROC to publish these before the finals.

Not much impact on the share price in Oz.

Chinguetti reserves not included, but from Tullow expect a significant write down.

12 successive days of losses in Aus (followed by todays rise) may have been the reason for recent fall.

Serious question - are the rumours true they had to suspend seismic around Cabinda due to 'unrest' - or have my mates got the wrong end of the stick and it is completed anyway?

No more on this, I daresay this will echo around the market with other stocks too tomorrow.

Hi DH - I share your feelings about events with ROC currently, better reply later.
I am also currently out fortunately being a forced seller at 147 ish iirc, now I feel lucky!

Hiya pb - have been long gone from roc - think I took a small loss - but haven't calculated and may have made small profit - just dont know - whichever way it is not material.

For me Angola has not come off as expected - or as sold by Doran etc. really hope the deeper stuff does produce some good results but just have a feeling this may not be so now?

Thus after all this - upside is pretty much limited to relatively small finds (China and Aus) - all good and all in excess of current production - but nothing company maker - and let's face it roc is priced at fair value.

Having said that I was talking to some mates who are more interested in the upside of the China acreage - but I personally do not see this being material - I hasten to add they are far better qualified than me from a technical nature to make comment - mines just a 'hunch'!!

Thus have decided to wait and see here - of course Angola could hit big time - but the probabilities are more likely it will not be in this programme - and its bl&&&y expensive to drill there!

Down some more, converting currrency comes out at £1.12 mid so it's over priced here.

DH if the great resurection of Chinguetti and then Mauritainia is to be believed then there could be something else there for ROC as they have a foot in the door of just about every license area there, Angola, well we will see. In respect of China there drilling program there stands a good chance of increasing reserbves imo.

The share price weakness is in line with the current market and other oilies imo.

Angola not looking so prospective - probably reason for share price weakness - then what upside do they have?
China - medium sized (for roc) at best.
Then what?
