07/7/2008 06:06 | Morning all Can`t believe this is down here with what TLW are saying about Mauritania and better production in China etc etc All well Regards | dr square
04/7/2008 07:46 | hit all time low in OZ before a bounce . Could turn north after consolidating in 170 area and closed at $1.79 . but may just be a dead cat bounce and strong oil price seems to be of little help to these semi spec stocks !! Wide MM spread in UK makes it difficult to trade it ! | arja
30/6/2008 13:27 | added a few more this morning .. expect a bounce from here | gryphon2
30/6/2008 11:04 | three years less one day older than me 62!!! | gryphon2
30/6/2008 08:38 | Ditto posts 548 and 549 - what a shame!! | dunderheed
30/6/2008 08:16 | Exactly Gryphon, we all worry about how our shares are doing but it's not important in the scheme of things. How old was he? | soulsauce
30/6/2008 07:57 | This is such sad news.. I had great faith in John Doran. a sharp wake up call about the fragility of life! | gryphon2
30/6/2008 06:39 | "Dr John Doran 30 JUN 08 It is with much sadness that the Board and Staff of ROC advise that on 27 June 2008 Dr John Doran, ROC's founder and Chief Executive Officer, passed away after a short illness. John's sensibly contrary enthusiasm, passion and charm have been the driving force behind the Company since its foundation in 1997. He will be greatly missed by ROC's Board and worldwide staff, business partners and shareholders, many of whom were known personally by John. Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with John's family at this tragic time." I see you are aware of this. | poo bear
30/6/2008 06:37 | Always enjoyed his humour in Roc's presentations. Very sad to see him go at such a young age. | bomfin
30/6/2008 01:17 | Really sad to see John Doran pass away.I was always impressed by his straight talking. He seemed tired at the investor webcast few months ago.He was in Angola sorting out problems 2:00 in morning with little sleep. | petoil
28/6/2008 17:07 | Ah those Director Sells.......... Same thing happened with Hardman and the share price so what odds that this will go soon? Yes I know they are in the process of enlargement in respect of Anzon, however is that a simple delaying tactic? | poo bear
27/6/2008 12:03 | Roc Oil says 6 wells brought onto production now contributing 7,500 bopd (Roc Oil CO) LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Roc Oil Company Limited. said six wells, in Bohai Bay, Offshore China, have been brought onto production in 2008 and are currently contributing about 7,500 barrels per day (bopd). The company said its unit Roc Oil (Cabinda) Company has advised that the Sesamo-1 exploration well, onshore Angola, started drilling on June 22. can't complain about them not doing anything. a result from the last well in the cabina should be out some time | drago
26/6/2008 07:19 | Goes to show I still dont understand the Oz Market! | poo bear
25/6/2008 17:06 | Good news - Production up in China!! (RNS above) Bad news - share price down. Good news - the news was released right at the very end of OZ trading sooooooo...... expect a rise tomorrow becaause our MM take their lead from OZ. | poo bear
25/6/2008 14:10 | note to self when the directors all sell, you do too. | drago
23/6/2008 10:32 | All we can do is wish John our best and hope he makes a swift recovery. | wrightey
17/6/2008 14:15 | SOUL-Let's hope they both come up lucky then ! | p@
17/6/2008 11:56 | presumably u have all seen the webcast............. www.rocoil.com.au. good luck. | thepinkpanther
17/6/2008 11:47 | p@ I think it suits them both, a good deal for both companies as both seemed to be going nowhere share price wise and something proactive needed to be done, this might just be the catalyst. | soulsauce
17/6/2008 11:22 | bomfin-who do you think is getting the best deal out of ROC and AEL? | p@
17/6/2008 10:14 | ntv when i saw roc in the biggest losers list yesterday, i thought i'd see a p&a rns for angola. not so, as least there is a chance that one could come good. a takeover at record share prices is the norm and indicates the top of the cycle. however a takeover at the current crumby prices would make sense imho. we'll see. | drago
16/6/2008 23:37 | wonder whether this will perhaps flush out a bidder for roc? could a chance for somebody to do a quick deal anyway more consolidation in the sector for sure | ntv
16/6/2008 16:40 | ting that looks like a right portfolio you have there. i am not familiar with anzon, but since nearly all the good oilers are being undervalued by the market, the chances are anzon was not too expensive to start with. some have referred to oilers as being in the fire damaged sale, which i agree with. | drago |
