Bernard Fowler, 87, from Havering, died after a 'despicable act of unprovoked violence'.Police raced to the scene at 4.30am yesterday (Tuesday, February 27) after a member of staff reported someone was badly hurt and lying on the floor of the station. Officers and paramedics arrived to find the man had suffered serious injuries. Despite their best efforts, he died at the scene.A man has since been arrested and remanded in custody. Miles Skai, 22, from Brent Cross in Hendon has been charged in connection with his murder and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Friday (March 1).
