25/8/2022 12:20 | Does anyone know why there has been such a small jump (about £40 million) in our market cap following yesterday's RNS? That's only about a +70% increase. It may seem quite a lot but the RNS said that an arbitration panel had unanimously awarded Rockhopper Euros 190 million in compensation, plus interest at EURIBOR +4% (which is about 5% interest for more than 6.5 year and which would therefore probably come to about €250 million including the interest. This is about £213 Million in Sterling terms. After a ca. 20% payment due to the arbitration funder, Rockhopper expects to retain about 80% of the award, which would mean about £170 million for Rockhopper. So why has the market cap increased by only £40 million since the announcement. Any ideas please? | greypanther2

25/8/2022 11:48 | Why the attack ? It wasn't directed at you but you must obviously 'self-identify' as a think (or thick even) human being else you wouldn't take a fence..... Oh and btw it's called auto-spell auto correction by the phone you pollock (just in case you have no sense of humour both of the misspellings above were deliberate in an attempt at humour) PS - looking stupid and actually being stupid are two totally different things, I may be guilty of the first but I certainly aint the second mister..... | adg

25/8/2022 10:18 | ohisay wrote earlier; extract; "Of course we dont know the tax position re the award and when they pay is probably going to be an issue (cf Cairn/India for example)" That's a very interesting question. The award is , imo, very much like a compensation payment which is normally tax free in UK personal cases. Would be nice to think a business case would be similarly generously considered. | cyan
25/8/2022 10:13 | Another 10-20million volume today would be nice. Out with the old, in with the new. Duck duck go. | duckdown |
