Italy have had a six year fight, and lost!

The decision is final and binding.

The RNS states that the decision can be annulled in certain circumstances, but didn't bother educating us to what those may be or if we should be concerned.

Wouldn't it be nice if just for once an RNS was open and transparent instead of filled with subjective clauses and "get out of jail free" cards...?

It should be worth that ,but I suppose the money has to hit the bank first .Many have made a good profit now and got out .This is just the start as far as I'm concerned.

Doubt Italy will just pay up without a fight. May take years to see any money and remember the no win no fee legal costs which will prob be in £40 to 50M region

Some folk selling their shares to exercise the warrants, presumably to sell those too, as insurance against something going wrong.

The key thing is that this cash, together with what Navitas has, hugely increases the chances of getting to first oil at Sea Lion. After that, who knows? Remember all those gas finds to the SE of the Falklands? Suddenly nat gas is worth a huge amount......even more so than oil. When the discoveries were made natural gas in remote locations was worthless. Not now.

Just out of meeting and see heavily back down to under 16p from 20p. Just initial selling or markets not happy with it ? One of you more knowledgeable guys please advise. I thought value of the award could be 30p or more?

Today's news makes the July placing, open offer, and warrants, look very opportunistic at just 7p.

What was that, 120m shares and 60m warrants issued at 7p, very nice for those who participated.

Unfortunately the settlement award does NOT come with a GUARANTEE that the Republic of Italy will actually pay. Chances of default................highly likely.

the interest rate is at least 27% - 4% compounded for 6 years which would equate to an award of 27.7p (net of legals)
