Extract from Harbour Rns this AM.

In line with our strategy, we are in the process of divesting our Falkland Islands interests, including our position in Sea Lion to Navitas. Post period end we received approval from the Falkland Islands Government and the transaction is expected to complete imminently.

I see EK bought yesterday

In the same theme of undervalued oilers I mention that Rockhopper (RKH) have won their arbitration against the Italian government who will now have to pay up c. 235m Euros or £200m cash.
There is still the various oil prospects off the Falklands and all this contrasts with a capitalisation of £85m at 15p and means that RKH is a strong buy.
I paid 17p.

I think it a vanishingly small prospect that the award will be annulled (it was a unanimous verdict after all) and that they wont pay.Italy left the Energy Charter Treaty in 2015 but remains bound by its rules until 2035 because of the treaty’s 20-year sunset clause.
Of course we dont know the tax position re the award and when they pay is probably going to be an issue (cf Cairn/India for example).

But the current price discounts all that and the fact that the Falklands is effectively a billion barrel field with Sea Lion and the rest .Current market cap doesnt do it justice.
A strong hold for me and I will add more on weakness.RKH will be taken out at some point thats for certain.

The word "if" appearing before the phrase "public interest" merely raises a question. The reason I mention it is because it was mentioned by the sore losers on the XR twitter feed where they are not happy at all at today's ruling.
