14/11/2003 10:15 | Thanks for comments , still think it will move up sharply shortly. Good luck | pictureframe
13/11/2003 17:34 | Sensible word's Monty burn , the company did say extremely difficult ahead in it's statement.. | blackbear
13/11/2003 16:57 | yes, as noted on the other thread, had 2000 bought at 245. Just added another 2000 at 184.6. Can't beat averaging down........... In this instance, not worried, despite the problems RCDO faces, as there is no debt, so the usual shareholder mugging when a business has some problems should not apply. Nevertheless, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, don't underestimate the problems RCDO face - it may be cheap on a historical earnings basis, but it is not cheap on a tangible assets basis, and may well not be on a future earnings basis - there has been no quantified guidance on the future, just lots of qualitative comments in the results and in the AGM statement. The automotive industry, particularly Ford's (a major customer) predicament (just gone to junk bond status, I believe), pension cost to drag on future earnings, competitors, restructuring costs etc will all impact and if earnings are down to say 10-15p, then it's not particularly cheap. All that said I bought more 'cos I thought it pretty cheap at 240 so at 185 it's better value, I don't think it will fall much further (but I don't rule it out - I will be buying a much larger stake if it goes to 150 or 120) and also the yield helps. The yield can be changed overnight, but the fact that last time out it was increased suggests the directors, who should have a reasonable perspective on the outlook for the business, believe the medium/long term is OK. Anyway, we'll see. Had to sell some FFY to get the cash - hope I don't regret it! | monty burns

13/11/2003 08:16 | morning all, after looking over the accounts again and the recent director buying I am very comfortable holding this. Its only a matter of time before we see a nice bounce | pictureframe
12/11/2003 18:33 | Harper has just got another 5000 shares after hours announcement. This is gonna bounce nicely soon | pictureframe
12/11/2003 11:58 | Yes 140k at 180 , must have caused a stir with the shorties.. | blackbear

12/11/2003 10:13 | Looking at the chart , it's pretty violent , and does'nt like going sideway's very much. * not long to wait pic imho... | blackbear
12/11/2003 10:11 | Good luck pic | panagos
12/11/2003 10:10 | We need to see a move upwards of 3%+ to reverse the trend imho. | pictureframe
12/11/2003 10:06 | You are right , I couldnt change the parameters to insert the five yr chart if you know how let me know. Cheers | pictureframe
12/11/2003 10:03 | Nice pic , one thing m , the chart isn't a 5 yr one. | blackbear
12/11/2003 10:02 | well I have started a new thread where I am calling the bottom (yes I know lining myself up for egg on face !). But I do believe this is the bottom and it will be nice to see if I called it right. ;0) | pictureframe
12/11/2003 09:55 | Running the ruler over this share I am calling the bottom , and here is why. The recent falls imho have been well overdone its now trading at a FIVE YEAR low. Check the chart out for confirmation. The company has advised that things are uncertain but does it warrant a fall from over £4.00 per share to today’s price considering the companIy still made £16 million Profit? The market cap is 80 million for a company making £16 million in a depressed Market , doesn’t take long to work out that it may be a takeover target. The balance sheet is extremely strong so there is no risk of share dilution, its now trades on a ridiculously low P/E ratio , and pays a divi of around 6.5% It is also worth bearing in mind that: Directors bought shares as recently as last month , today share price allows you to follow their lead at nearly 50% discount! S Parker bought 5368 @ £2.71 = £14,547.28 on 3/10/03 M Beresford bought 20,000 @ 2.78 = £55,600 on 23/9/03 Harper bought 5000 @ 2.80 = £14,000 23/9/03 Not some chicken feed amount and they know what is going on with the company, maybe things are not that bad after all ? Also Aviva recently lifted stake on this company to over 8% and there has been no institutional selling which is good news. | pictureframe
12/11/2003 09:54 | Yes the brakes are on for now , but no new thread for new trend , how about an over done thread. | blackbear
12/11/2003 09:44 | pic, it is still in a falling trend. Although i agree its good value for money to accumulate | panagos
12/11/2003 09:30 | morning all, We held steady yesterday and buying level increased, this company makes circa 16 million profit and has a market cap of just 80 million. Very strong balance sheet, no debt worries as such and at the shareprice the divi equates to around 6.5%. Also look at the fall on the chart at a FIVE YEAR low, me thinks its way overdone. Perhaps we should start a new thread as its no longer in a falling trend imho | pictureframe
11/11/2003 10:44 | 6 bagger , very nice pic , the fact that the hidden trades are al above the bid must be positive surely. I must go do some work "sigh" Good luck guy's back later. | blackbear
11/11/2003 10:38 | I thought buys as I could not see the MMs giving them such a good price for that volume. Reading your comments guys I am a bit like you BB I now buy shares for the lond/med term instead of looking to short term trade. My best trade is 200k of THUS shares @ 5p that I still hold. I will hold this one (RCDO) for at least 6 months | pictureframe
11/11/2003 10:34 | I think buy's pictureframe , could be dir's again or avia.. | blackbear |
