QUANTUM Corp..
I don't know much about these, so I don't know exactly what happened..
but it appears Viex bought in their own directors and John Mutch was elected to the BoD...

VIEX Nominates Five Strong Director Candidates for Election to Board of Quantum Corporation
Disappointed in Company's Track Record of Poor Performance and Misguided Governance

Believes Reconstituting the Board is Most Effective Way to Drive Long-Term Value

Quantum Corporation and VIEX Capital Advisors Sign Agreement to Reconstitute Quantum Board to Consist of a Majority of New Directors

Interesting the Quantum share price movement over the last 2 yrs...
They did a 1-8 split last year, when share price was around 0.83-0.85...
As a result of the split, the shot up to around $8.9...
Currently it's around $3.8...

Out of curiosity, what motive do the -be posters have for the continuous stream of dross. Are they ill? It’s so boring.

Loopy - are you saying you did not lose all your savings on the advice of a magazine tipster.

Only I have your post where you told readers you did lose it all? lol

How strange - here was me thinking we could all trust what rags tell us on here?

Benny thinks Ed will agree with you rags in trying to destroy RTHM - JohnnyC, dont get me wrong..but my guess is, Ed will be rather pleased you are shorting to zero! lol

Big Bear does seem desperate, mention Yume to provide growth going forward but forget Perk and Rad1 when commenting on the previous year's growth...

His posts remind me of sobeit's smooth talking posts which seemed so credible to those who didn't know the industry or history of the company....

thanks gl,

agree, rf has done well both ways. He and several others also did well on qxl, rf as a trader and some of us as investors..
He right, knowing when to spot the change in fortunes... Too many industry challenges
around... If 1R can address them then they should do well.. We won't know for a while yet...

So how reliable and diligent are these broker analysts in their commentary? Take Numis who were reported as saying this after the H1 results:

“However, broker Numis has trimmed guidance for the year to March 2018 due to unexpected delays in the integration of RadiumOne. Pre-tax profits and EPS are now expected at $4.2m and 8.1ȼ, respectively (from losses of $4.7m and 9.2ȼ in FY2017)”

Unfortunately for them, the reported net loss last year was actually $18.79m – or about 4 times as large as they said.

It shows that Numis have really done their homework on this one – NOT!

How they went from a $27m notional loss for calendar year 2017 as per the F-4 estimates to a projected $4.2m pre-tax profit in 2017-18 is beyond me, even with some adjustments expected.

Expect more trimming back from now on. But it begs the question, who put them up to this? Were these reports paid for by 1R, or were they all smoking dope?

Gowlane, the Mr. Honest! - "JWoolley to answer your question, just once though.

Why are we still posting here? The answer is purely out of the goodness of our hearts. I am sure we have all benefited from the kindness of strangers from time to time, what would the world be like without that?"
