Although I note that IF Toscafund took the 7m and one of the 2m trades, it would take it's holding to about 29.9%, assuming it started with the holding shown in the annual report for 30th April.

Like I said, R&M increasing their holding is great...
but so it was when RG's when he was increasing... and he was mentioned as working with Tosca, remember??? so what happened there...

PI nominee accounts have also reduced... compare the website or AR, compare March & April holdings...

Let's see who's been trading the 15m or so around the time of closing bell...

I'm not sure about the 20m football. If you add the 4m and one of the 2m trades you balance the 7m trade exactly. So it looks to me as though 7m shares have definitely changed hands.

So I wonder if the other two 2m trades (identical number to the first one) are some sort of cancellation/correction. They're not obviously labelled as such but it seems odd them being exactly the same number.

Whether or not Toscafund make a move, don't you think it is an encouraging sign as a shareholder that Toscafund and R&M have made such big increases in their shareholdings?

You can net off RG's reduction if you like, but surely it's trivial compared to the increase from the other 2?

it wasn't long ago that RG was the man to watch... is he out of favour now....

R&M increasing is good news but others reducing isn't..

If Tosca don't make a move now then I doubt they will anytime soon..

20 million shares just moved about on the bell I wonder if that's the last of the perk stuff hitting the market

So R&M more than doubling their holding, adding [edit] 25m shares between July and end-April.

Toscafund adding 18m shares between 30th December and end-April. Are you seriously suggesting they're not moving quickly enough to rebuild their position???

The R&M move is particularly encouraging I think because they used to be a big holder but sold down. So I am sure they've studied R1 every bit as much as you or I, STT, and if they are convinced that, despite everything that happened before, it is now worth building a bigger position again then that's pretty powerful.

4.7m, 2.37m sells just after bell...

Not conditional sells..

my comment was about the % holding...no mention of number...

"Still below the 29.67% they owned at beginning of the year.."

However, the number and % was reduced between mid and end of March...

If they were going to make a move then I would have thought they would whilst the share price dipped...

STT - the 29.67% that Toscafund declared as of 30th December was only 120.4m shares, because it was before the Perk dilution.

So Toscafund have added over 18m shares between 30th December and 30th April haven't they?

If Tosca were going to make a move then I suspect they would have taken advantage of the dip in share price ..

R&M having moved to 9% before yr end and stayed around that holding post TU...

and RG, who was previously mentioned as working with Tosca, has reduced as well...

It'll be interesting to see their holdings post the results...

Thanks loaf is amazing what you can do with a few emails and a phone call to the company rather than posting 24 seven about them that never contacting them about your concerns

The wonders of email and a few phone calls.

Very happy to confirm that River and Merc do indeed have over 9%, which is bloody good news in my book.

Going forward I think RhythmOne and Capita might take a little more interest in who owns what.

Tosca..
15th March, they held

139,405,452 28.2%

AR: on 30th March, they held
138,465,657 27.97%,

so sold around a million in last 2 weeks of March...

Then end Apr added about 200k
138,651,013 28%

Still below the 29.67% they owned at beginning of the year..

stt - R1 will have been aware of the huge customer concentration for Perk (1 customer accounting for 64% of Q3 revenue and 58% of the Jan-Sep revenue) during negotiations and will have taken this into account in negotiating the price. I am sure they will have considered whether it was more of a downside risk or upside opportunity.

But it sounds like a perfect question to ask them at the AGM - why not come along and try to find out?

In terms of continuing vs total revenue, I read Note 5 (Segmental Analysis) page 55,56 as talking about continuing operations, and so I interpret "combined" as probably meaning "combined" across all business segments, of which R1 has only 1. But it's not entirely clear.
