Barkboo, having made the mistake of falling in love with a number of companies over the years, Blinkx being one of them, I am trying to look through the hype and see the wood from the trees!

In reality companies are there to make monetary profit, from which their shareholders should benefit by a rising share price. In todays casino market with hedge funds and dodgy professors it gets increasingly difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff. Wearing rose tinted spectacles and shouting £2.40 after a quite underwhelming trading update is not the way to go. IMHO

I see no difference here in the bear arguments since the share price was around 16.

What has changed significantly in that time is the share price to now almost 3X's that amount. Which is considerable.

What we have witnessed over the last 3 years was a plan to model a company that is fit for the foreseeable future of online advertising. A plan that was probably conceived 5 or more years ago and was finally realized with the addition of video to the mix - blinkx.com and Adkarma coming online and a bonus perk for goodwill. A little birdie tells me, from her nursing home, that this one is going to be HUGE.

The results are not going to be great in May, the forward looking statement will be interesting, will BM be brave enough to give a forward looking real profit projection?

June may be the time to top up unless Tosca make a play before then?

JonC why not phone them and ask! There is nothing price sensitive in the conversation they have said they have turned the ship around from losing money in the first half of the year to making money in the second half and as for price guidance and management expectations just look at the brokers notes as that's the figures they go by for management expectations

The company cannot even turn a profit an the standard EBITDA basis.

The conversation I had with someone at 1R when I phoned the company up at the end of last month basically they said the business was haemorrhaging(millions) money for the first six months of the year stabilised for the next 3 and then the last 3 as been profitable month on month which is not bad considering it's their quietest period.

So if they can turn it around to break even-ish in the last three months of the year and wipe out all the losses for the first nine months they may of struck upon a winning strategy.

As for perk and their lock in period with their shares Tosca have seemingly bought every Canadian share which is come on to the market and what stuff say they will do the same to take up to 30% of the company again?
