College (unless a degree is necessary for one's chosen route in life) has always seemed an utter waste of three years. I have employed numerous graduates over the years and it always took a year or more to knock the arrogance out of them. None of them understood that an employer loses money on a new employee for about three years from start date. To turn up in front of me with a degree in twelfth century Peruvian basket weaving and a millstone of 30k debt round their neck immediately tells me they are too stupid to be employed. All that idiot Blairs fault with his 'university for all' mantra.

Yes €500k would build a nice place - perhaps Galway, and just a short distance from the races.

From memory the festival is in July.....you never need far to travel home after seven days of that experience!

Chaps, I think we need to relax a little with regard to profit and numbers. It is possible that R1 is not making as much money as we would like and there are some on this board who would seek to exploit that, should it be the case, for their own personal reasons. The reason they may not be raking it in is because they are trying to provide an absolutely gilt edged, clean service as evidenced by the Pixalate ranking. I for one far prefer the current situation to the previous state, some years ago, where Blinkx was raking it in without due need of governance. It is better to be poor and honest than a rich crook. The big organisations which are making big bucks will get found out sooner or later and companies will then migrate to advertising with R1.I am in for the long term. When the true value of our Pixalate rankings becomes known we will hit the £2.40 and more - it may take ten years to happen but I am comfortable with that. By then R1 will be bigger and stronger and it will take more than a few bulletin board comments to throw it off course.Good luck to all holders.

Whitman and Numis have us down for next year at approx $250M sales, $17M EBITDA and $85M of cash.

If they confirm that guidance or even slightly higher, 40p should be a distant memory.

Anything more than 10% profit or loss than their expectations should be out almost immediately so must be pretty close to what they were thinking either way.

Always remember getting told by FTI that is easy to put out a profit warning as you know you are losing money it's when it's borderline or profit you have to check the figures again and again


Probably the most important bit is going to be the forward-looking in the Rns rather than the figures this time I feel but would like them to back it up

I wouldn't assume that loaf re: timescales of rns. I'm sure that it will be acceptable and they will show decent progress. But it's really about full year 18 with perk and more monetisation of rhythmmax. If the market is forward looking though, all should be well, I hope!
