You effectively repeated it very recently in the post below.

You now have some credible evidence that it is not true - reported advfn helpdesk response.

But you're not withdrawing the allegation.

Do you have any evidence at all that it was once true? How about at least following up with advfn yourself to see if they can get you out of the hole you've dug yourself into?

STT - so just to be clear, are you now withdrawing the allegation you have made in the past that when a poster uses multiple ids to vote for a post these votes are not counted for the "top posts" ranking?

This is the problem with making unsubstantiated accusations. When one of them turns out to be false it undermines the credibility of your other posts.

Caught yet again.... digi has been caught dozens of times, using his multiple ids to post lies...
There are a group of posters with multiple ids, posting lies to manipulate others...
When a poster, using multiple ids, votes for his own posts, it doesn't appear in 'Top Posts'...

so many just happen to look in and just happens all want to vote up posts to highlight and discredit posters the so called 'family' don't like and who can't be swayed...

Well I have to say, although we have apparently cleared up the top posts issue, I don't think we're any nearer to clearing up the multi-id theory - i.e. the theory that some posters use a number of different ids to allow them to vote up posts they approve of.

On this I tend to agree with precinct (post 792) in this particular case.

And even without the dynamic ip address issue, I still find it difficult to believe that advfn would have any effective way of spotting determined multi-ids given the advfn registration process.

Edit: I should also have asked them whether it's possible, as Barkboo has claimed in the past, for a poster to check on whether a new poster shares the same IP address as an established poster. From what they told you, that seems unlikely.
