You couldn't ask for more . They are putting their troubles behind them and are delivering well.
Trading has been in line with the Board's expectations.
The Commercial Division has continued to benefit from price increases and synergies which have more than offset cost inflation, lower paper prices and a modest slowdown in volumes.
No need to cut and paste the whole thing....Seems clear to me that they are making good progress.
I imagine earnings will come through fully in year to 31.03.21,current earnings estimates have it trading on a fwd PE of under 6. That looks attractive to me.
If we have ,say a 1.5p dividend,we might be getting a 3% annual yield at 50p. That would be my guess/ target over the next 12-18 months.

I agree, sounds positive. Certainly no nasty developments and positive moves on the soil and ATM side. Moving away from basket case and into decent recovery stock territory in my opinion.

Hopefully a bit of a boost today.

any thoughts chaps? seems positive on a first reading.

1) ATM testing went well
2) Even if ATM remains shut, the new process of separating secondary materials can start production in early 2020 for 50% of ATM's volume

Update out .. and it contains the sentence "Soil testing, according to a protocol agreed with the regulators, is now complete and has confirmed that ATM's current stock production does not contain any substances at levels which prevent its use." Should get a boost today off the back of that..

They're possibly holding the trading update back if there's imminent other news pending, (either of the Netherlands issues) so that one update does all.

- Canadian Business: sold
- Reym Industrial: sold
- Kabouter: Entirely exited their holdings
- Derby Sinfin: Contract renewed for two years. Long-term PFI under negotiation.
- Financing / Debt: Retail bond refinanced + sale of Canada / Reym reduce leverage further


Unresolved Issues

- ATM soil issue
- Amsterdam ABB incinerator shutdown and Dutch ban on international imports
- Listing on the Amsterdan Stock Exchange to trade in EUR

I think that all negative scenarios are reflected in the current share price. I don't expect very good news but i'm slightly optimistic

The Dutch Government released an update on the ATM soil five days ago (link below).

Now a decision on the test results is expected next month, October 2019. So we are not that far away from that. Also usually Renewi releases a Trading Statement on the last day of September every year so we might get some news on 30th Sep.

Not really. Although Reym has gone there's still the soil to sort out, and we will be taking a hit in the accounts for the 'loss' on Reym's sale.
That said, I'm glad it's gone and debt is now at a much more manageable level.
But we won't see a take off in shareprice until the soil treatment resumes, and that, imho, is taking a worryingly long time to resolve.

They are working through the issues, improving the company all the time. We just need the soil approval.We are on our way.

EUR 115mn combined sale of Canada + Reym (vs. guidance last November of c. EUR 110).
