29/4/2018 12:45 | Some info from the FT and other sources:- Year on year Renewi PLC had net income fall 1,466.67% from a loss of 3.90m to a larger loss of 61.10m despite a 26.74% increase in revenues from 614.80m to 779.20m. An increase in the selling, general and administrative costs as a percentage of sales from 10.34% to 11.47% was a component in the falling net income despite rising revenues. In 2017, Renewi PLC increased its cash reserves by 115.85%, or 40.20m. The company earned 22.60m from its operations for a Cash Flow Margin of 2.90%. In addition the company generated 8.30m and 6.90m cash from investing and financing, respectively. Year on year, growth in dividends per share increased 1.70% while earnings per share excluding extraordinary items fell by -1,192.91%. The positive trend in dividend payments is noteworthy since very few companies in the Waste Management Services industry pay a dividend. Additionally, five year annualized dividend per share growth is in-line with the industry average relative to its peers. As of Apr 20, 2018, the consensus forecast amongst 9 polled investment analysts covering Renewi PLC advises that the company will outperform the market. This has been the consensus forecast since the sentiment of investment analysts deteriorated on Dec 16, 2011. The previous consensus forecast advised investors to purchase equity in Renewi PLC. The 6 analysts offering 12 month price targets for Renewi PLC have a median target of 105.00, with a high estimate of 120.00 and a low estimate of 70.00. The median estimate represents a 44.03% increase from the last price of 72.90. Renewi PLC reported annual 2017 earnings of 0.037 per share on May 25, 2017. The next earnings announcement from Renewi PLC is expected the week of May 24, 2018. Renewi plc had revenues for the full year 2017 of 779.20m. This was 26.95% above the prior year's results. Renewi will exit a loss-making PFI operating contract at Dumfries & Galloway and the facility at Westcott Park, which management said would simplify and de-risk the UK municipal portfolio, but result in £9m and £16m of extra costs respectively. Onerous contract provisions were increased £27m in respect of the Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham PFI operating contract and another £27m for the Wakefield PFI contracts. Management said this reflected prudent recognition of expected future losses over the remaining lives of the contracts. On 04/0418 Renewi said:- For us, waste is a state of mind, an opportunity. When we take away someone's waste, we then give it new life. We transform a wide range of used materials into useful products and raw materials for our customers, like recycled paper, metal, plastic and glass, woodchips, compost, energy, fuel, and other products. In the process we protect the world from contamination, preserve finite natural resources, and enable customers to meet their sustainability goals. With our deep international expertise we also provide our customers with an extensive product range, combined with local service and attention. Above all, our team is committed and passionate about our mission: waste no more. Renewi operates across five divisions: • Netherlands Commercial - Collecting, sorting, treating and recycling commercial and household waste in the Netherlands • Belgium Commercial - Collecting, sorting, treating and recycling commercial and household waste in Belgium • Hazardous Waste - Treating soil, water and packed chemical waste at our flagship ATM facility and conducting specialist industrial cleaning in the Netherlands • Monostreams - Managing a range of waste streams which focus on specific end markets such as glass, electronic goods, organics and minerals in Europe • Municipal - Operating long-term waste management contracts with local authorities in the UK and Canada So - my Summary - Renewi seems to be a "work in progress". Income is good but has been substantially hit by expenditure and liabilities and this has resulted in the fall of the share price to its current low level, There is unlikely to be anything in the full year results on 24 May to massively boost the share price, but equally well I don't think it would slide very much further (lowest level in past 5 years was 61.71 on 11/02/16 from which it recovered in one month to 74.53). Directors are buying but not showing massive commitment. But they are buying. Recycling of waste is a very prominent topic at present (certainly in the UK and in the EU) and will continue to become so. The dangers to the planet of Contamination and Pollution, and the need to do something about it, will continue to resonate. Therefore it would seem that Renewi are well placed at the moment to make a significant contribution to recycling and create greater shareholder value at the same time. | fez77
28/4/2018 21:46 | I've been in this for donkeys, never thought I'd see the low 70's again. I'm happy collecting the divi but the opportunity cost of my cash not being invested in one of the FAANG stocks over the past few years is now huge! | dplewis1
28/4/2018 19:47 | I'm in at 73.60. Full years results - 24 May. Fingers crossed! | fez77
27/4/2018 19:47 | I'm in at 73. | taximania
24/4/2018 10:38 | Seems to be very much unloved at the moment this one. Considering this was a takeover target a few years back I imagine any suitors must be keeping an eye on this dip. | dplewis1
20/4/2018 14:11 | Bought some at 78.5 . I took a small profit last yr when I sold for a pound but didn't expect this drop. | wad collector
20/4/2018 10:46 | It was a polite question . Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the "Financials" box ; last of the column of 7. Open it and all will be revealed... Thinking of buying back in ...seems to have hit a nadir. | wad collector

05/4/2018 16:54 | Could anyone advise me as to the dividend at this level? | david2013
05/4/2018 09:27 | I guess the new plastic bottle tax could reduce recycling volumes and the assumptions on contracts. | zipstuck
29/3/2018 12:43 | Somewhere in the middle.. Nice divi here now | dplewis1
29/3/2018 10:33 | today news, bad or good? | jdung
23/3/2018 08:29 | sold out at 80p, small lose. | jdung
19/3/2018 15:26 | Looks like Kabouter increasing | dplewis1
15/3/2018 19:15 | I think you have to view the share price weakness in the context of the wider market fall and particularly a company with a significant European component. I sold out at the end of last year at a small profit but would buy back in if I hadn't burned lots of fingers elsewhere. | wad collector
15/3/2018 14:14 | noted: today big size 5m shares tardes at 87p, total more 13m shares trades, any view, please comm. thanks. | jdung |
