05/4/2018 09:27 | I guess the new plastic bottle tax could reduce recycling volumes and the assumptions on contracts. | zipstuck

15/3/2018 19:15 | I think you have to view the share price weakness in the context of the wider market fall and particularly a company with a significant European component. I sold out at the end of last year at a small profit but would buy back in if I hadn't burned lots of fingers elsewhere. | wad collector
15/3/2018 14:14 | noted: today big size 5m shares tardes at 87p, total more 13m shares trades, any view, please comm. thanks. | jdung
09/3/2018 15:44 | Does explain the steady drop over past few weeks. Hardly a water-tight co.! | keyno
09/3/2018 08:19 | Doesn't seem the worst news to me. Annoying as this share always seems to get going above 100p and then suffers a setback and drop to the 80's again. It's been a takeover target in the past I expect it will be again at this level. | dplewis1
16/1/2018 20:50 | slowly down. | xshow
02/1/2018 20:21 | My concern too Betman. Recyclate prices will no doubt bomb short term but unsure as yet how much this will affect Renewi. Long term this should be a positive as UK will be forced to face the plastic waste being generated and recycle appropriately with Renewi leading the way, possibly by acquisition. | cyfran101
02/1/2018 10:11 | There was an interesting item on the News yesterday, regarding China banning the import of plastics for recycling. Apparently the UK exports 500,000 tons a year of plastic for recycling. Does anyone have any insights on whether this will impact RWI operations ? | betman
23/11/2017 08:24 | Does anyone when the final results are out? ? | 999rp
06/11/2017 08:55 | RWI Renewi (formerly Shanks) report on thursday, interims. Last update stock was outperforming.23rd october 2017. As a result of this, the Board now expects the Group to deliver a result for the year ending 31 March 2018 which is significantly above its previous expectation | 3rd eye
23/10/2017 15:01 | Renewi sees full-year results 'significantly above' previous expectations Mon 23 October 2017 (ShareCast News) - Waste-to-product business Renewi said on Monday that results for the year are expected to be "significantly above" its previous expectations following a particularly strong performance in September. In a trading update for the year to 31 March 2018, the company said the commercial division performed particularly well, with increased waste volumes driven by improving economic growth and construction market recovery. Meanwhile, income from the recyclate division remained strong throughout the period and the monostreams business delivered a positive performance. Renewi said the strong outperformance of the commercial division and monostreams has more than offset the previously reported challenges at ATM in the hazardous waste division and the municipal canadian business. In addition, it said that merger benefits, including cost synergies, margin benefits from internalised waste treatment and purchase price accounting adjustments have been better in the first half than management's original expectations. Reported earnings in the first half have also benefited from the relative weakness of the pound against the euro compared with the company's budgeted rate of 1.20. "Against this positive operating background and in preparation for the forthcoming interim results, the board has reviewed the Group's trading momentum and prospects for the full year and now expects the group to deliver a result for the year ending 31 March 2018 which is significantly above its previous expectations. "The board expects the group's profits to be more strongly weighted towards the first half than usual because of the favourable market conditions in the seasonal construction market together with the outlook for moderating recyclate prices in the second half and reduced soil treatment volumes." Renewi added that at this early stage its expectations for the year ending 31 March 2019 remain unchanged. | 3rd eye

06/10/2017 16:47 | You called that right - an 8 million buy @107 seems to have caused a dip at the bell. Actually it was a UT so not sure whether that is correct. | wad collector
04/10/2017 18:31 | It's confirmed. RWI will be promoted to FTSE 250 on Monday. Watch out for high volume in the closing auction on Friday as funds adjust their weightings. It's doesn't necessarily mean a boost to the share price. Often the opposite effect! | typo56
03/10/2017 08:37 | Many thanks Typo for that info, I had missed that. | betman
03/10/2017 08:17 | The increase in volume may also have something to do with possible entry into the FTSE250 next week. The decision will be made tomorrow, based on market caps at close. | typo56
02/10/2017 16:19 | Nice rise to 104.75 and what I really like is the increase in volume over the last three days of 1 - 1.5 million shares traded per day , which I take to mean real depth of buying interest and not just an adjustment of the price spread. For once I hope this is'nt about a bid , as I think there is long term good growth to come from the European markets and I dont want to hand these over to some private equity group !! | betman
19/9/2017 16:29 | Let my last ones go at 99.25p ; bigger bargains elsewhere I reckon . | wad collector
22/7/2017 17:29 | surely we want to shout to everyone how good this stock is and for them to buy them to get part of the action. I believe these can regain "the ton" and then more so in 2 -3 years timescale. Good to get non UK exposure | betman |
