31/3/2016 22:37 | Current number of shareholders is 811. I suspect the admin costs of each distribution are higher than you might think. I'll ask Martin Cope tomorrow, quarterly distribution does require a fuller explanation of the pros and cons in my view. | philmiboots
31/3/2016 22:28 | Just a matter of pressing a few buttons on the computer as far as admin goes. A few may still have cheques, a very few. Also there are not many shareholders. | johndee
31/3/2016 21:33 | I am wondering why the company needs to pay quarterly dividends? who had decided that this should happen/ have the accounting standards changed? I also agree with philmiboots, does this not mean higher administration costs to the company that could be being invested in the business. Obviously based on the info noted earlier the profit is down on last year so why add to the administration costs of the company... ps before anyone bites my head off I am just asking...but do thank the company on its increased dividends. | twodegrees
31/3/2016 21:23 | Just out of curiosity, anyone have any idea what it costs, in fees to brokers, advisors, Computershare etc etc to make a dividend distribution? I guess it must be several £k per distribution. How does this new quarterly dividend distribution system help the shareholder? The twice a year divi could, in theory, be higher if these extra costs had not been incurred. | philmiboots
31/3/2016 19:09 | In order to start paying quarterly in the next financial year they have paid a dividend today to take account of this financial year, if you will (to be fair, I'm not sure they had to do that - so thanks). From what I read in the letter dividends going forward will be paid June, Sept, Dec and Mar. | upthepool
31/3/2016 17:58 | Johndee - I think that £5k tax free divi thing only kicks in from 6th April 2016. So, as this has been paid today 31/3/16 then presumably the "old rules" apply, i.e. divi income for the tax year 15-16 will be taxed in the "usual" way. I am certainly no tax expert that's for sure!! Anybody have chapter and verse on this? | philmiboots
31/3/2016 17:45 | Thanks Philmiboots My nominee broker is always a week or two late. Dividends are tax free now up to £5000 a year. | johndee
31/3/2016 17:34 | 2degs - cheque arrived unexpectedly in the post this morning! Didn't realise I had "special privileges"! They go on to say that because of the new quarterly payments scheme the "June" payment (for 15/16) has effectively been brought forward and "the final dividend (usually paid in June) is likely to be nil". All to do with cash flow apparently but WTFDIK. Makes total dividend for 15/16 £12.36 (same as 14/15). Aiming to maintain a 4% dividend yield, based on £300 share price The FIRST quarterly interim payment though for 16/17 is planned to be paid in June! All a bit confusing (to me at least!). AGM to be on 27th May (although letter says 27nd ??!!) at The MacDonald Hotel, London Road, Manchester M1 2PG | philmiboots
31/3/2016 17:04 | I was not expecting a divi yet, June usually. I have had nothing yet paid into my nominee share account. | johndee
31/3/2016 16:58 | philmiboots I can find nothing on reflec website...excuse my ignorance but re the divi payment how have you come upon this information. many thanks. | twodegrees
31/3/2016 16:53 | philmiboots what is the notional value of each share ... | twodegrees
31/3/2016 13:32 | Thanks Johndee | demonscream
31/3/2016 13:00 | Just received this years second divi payment today - a rate of £7.36, an all time high (I think). This despite profits down to £319k from £349,075 in 2015, and slightly reduced turnover. Also moving to paying dividends quarterly for 2016-17. This years final report and accounts due "towards the end of April". | philmiboots
31/3/2016 00:14 | Notes: Delisted from Aim 7th August 2009 Consolidation: 1,000 for 1 consolidation 30th August 2010 Probably worthless if dated before the last consolidation(30th August 2010) if under 1000 shares. | johndee
30/3/2016 21:02 | Hi all, I have found a couple of old Reflec PLC certificates that I had forgotten about and I wondered if anyone could tell me if they are worth anything or if I should just line the bin with them. I have:- 58 ord 5p dated 27 April 2007 2905 ord 0.1p dated 3 March 2000 I know there have been consolidations etc but I have totally lost track of the company. Anyone able to help me out with any info here please? Thanks Pete | demonscream
24/3/2016 11:19 | yr end results soon to be released??? | philmac56
21/1/2016 14:05 | well up the pool that got a response. However please note those that do want to sell and the trades show that some want to sell, is not made any easier as the company do not appear to be helping with the movement of buys and sells. are you an insider able to confirm what the company is doing, I think not. The global downturn is affecting the total market and this will include reflec. This board has always been one that has permitted people to say what they want, I am expressing my view. | twodegrees
21/1/2016 09:56 | So, people want to sell a few shares, they decide what price they are happy with. This is less than £300 - that's their choice. But because of that, twodegrees speculates that the next set of results are not good. What a ridiculous pile of tosh What people decide to sell their personal shares for is nothing to do with how the company is doing. | upthepool
20/1/2016 18:27 | philmac56 nothing moving at £300 or £290 so the price will fall until some are sold perhaps next set of news is not so good either. | twodegrees
19/1/2016 14:50 | whats happening here...shares up for grabs now from £275!!!! | philmac56
08/1/2016 08:13 | well happy belated new yr all. two under offer appeared this yr, with quite a few new sells up for grabs....all at £300 gla | philmac56

14/10/2015 20:33 | philmac 56 you have me very confused. Lets hope that Hawk tip I gave you long time back starts moving in the right direction...so did you £300 then | twodegrees |
